In just a few days I’ll be grown. Just like that. Poof. One day I’m a harmless teenager, the very next a responsible adult. I don’t want this to happen, but I’m helpless to stop it. I can struggle all I want, but growing is not to be stopped.
I’ve grown from a girl to a woman and I’ve learned so much over that time. Growing is good. Growing os progress. Growing takes time. To be grown is to be mature at all times.
She began as a bud in the earth,
covered in dirt,
and smaller than a seed.
Suddenly, with certain struggles,
she burst forth from the beautiful disaster.
She has yet to be fully grown.
My only hope is that the world wont destroy her spirit before it can blossom.
I have grown so much in this past year, well past twenty-four years. I now understand growth is what life is about. A journey of growth, learning and living.
The mirror shows me a grown woman standing there, waiting for him. It’s been 26 years. What will he look like, will he be the same sweet soul he always was. Was this a mistake, meeting him again? One look in his eyes and all questions were answered….
grown like the tree in my yard im almost as mature as it is. even though i will never be as tall as it or as wise its there as a reminder of how high i want to reach, the sky i want to grow that high
Many years had passed by since the tiny acorn was planted. It had bloomed and blossomed into a magnificent Oak tree that overlooked the entire town. It had grown with such strength that it overshadowed even the tallest buildings of the town!
I was grown. Only I wasn’t. Grown. I was short. Really short. The only one shorter than me was Omar. I was the second shortest kid in kindergarten. My parents made me wear a tie the first day. I’m a GIRL!

ANyway, you face em like a man, you take em on and don’t look back. You step towards your errors and figure that, sooner or later, that mistake will be looked back upon as a moment where you grew.

He looked through the small kitchen window out to the old woman’s garden. He pictured her bending low despite the pain, patting the moist soil down bare-handed. He pictured her murmuring lovingly to the plants, giving them more care than she’d ever given him. He shook his head, driving out these images. He turned to the door, grabbed the last box of stuff that smelled of old lady, and locked the door behind him.
i love one professor will says , “are all grown ass women and grown ass men.” hopefully i will get one more class with him before i graduate in June 2011.. he is a full of knowledge but like he said ” the more you know the

I have grown. The end came before I knew it was coming, but now that it’s here, I realize where I went wrong, and in that I have growth. My daughter has grown from a loving, adorable child into that monster many know as a teenage girl. She butts heads with me on a more than regular basis and wants to push the envelope as far as she can. Her witty comeback is often “I’m 15!” to which I reply “When did 15 become the new 21?”
It is hard for me to believe they are all grown with lives of their own that have nothing to do with me. They have outgrown me and sprouted days and nights that wear odd outfits and play tunes I never knew the words to.
