  1. The galaxy seemed to be in tune while she lay there with her beautiful girlfriend. The two girls were a tangled mess of limbs, but they didn’t care. This was their time to be themselves, when no one would judge them because they were two girls in love.

  2. The galaxy. It’s so beautiful. I wish I could just look up into the sky and see a giant nebula staring back down at me. I also can’t help but wonder what’s out there and how it got out there.

  3. there is a huge galaxy out there waiting to be explored. I wish i could go out there and just learn. Learn about life, learn about the world, about other universes. I wish i could just escape and go to another galaxy. Create a new life and create a new world. I’m scared of what ill become here, I’m scared ill never make my dreams come true.

  4. it’s big. so big it makes me feel insignificant. but at the same time hopeful. if there is only one guy out there for me in the entire galaxy at least there’s alot to choose from. i may not have met him yet but he’s out there some where. some where between the milky way and my house. i’d travel all over to find him. waiting is just too useless.

  11. The spaceship hurtled towards the comet faster than the speed of light. Impossible?

Yes. But there it was. The all-encompassing blackness of the anti-gravity that Mankind called “outer space” swallowed up the futuristic vehicle, carrying precious lives of some of the last humans on Earth.

  12. what a big freakin place right???
so vast – seemingly without structure, without order
because there are no walls, not boundary we see – it can appear confused and unplanned
like a dinner party with plates and food stroon about a table with no plan on how they will be received.
If I were attending a galaxy party – I would look around – not a star out of place – not a planet rotating at the wrong speed –
the sun is exactly where it is supposed to be
if one – just one element of out galaxy were to stray off course – the effect would be catastrophic – yet it happenes every day
    new stars bloom –
    new planets form –
    new solar systems evolve
    planets die
    moons eclipse
    and life goes on
if I were to look at my life as the galaxy is truly is
and see the upsets as shooting stars as opposed to fallen ones
and know that all of what is – is supposed to be
    without the falls
    without the stars
my galaxy would be dark –
I thank God for my fallen stars

  14. The galaxy has such an endless number of possibilities. It’s kind of like the flavours of Yoplait yogurt in grocery stores…or kinds of poutine at the lounge here in my new hometown. Damn I love food…it was the basis of my last entry on here too.

  15. the entire universe lay under her little finger nails. he looked into her eyes and saw everything he could ever dream of. he felt like atlas himself, holding the world in his arms.

  20. space, stars, forever

  21. it makes us realize how small we are and how petty lots of things are. We are not a galaxy, we are a planet within the solar system within the milky way within the universe. And that’s just the earth, which from our point of view, is pretty darn big.

    by Khadijah on 04.02.2011
  22. The galaxy scares me. Space in general scares me. Thinking about how small we are makes me feel panicked. We are so unimportant. Everything we do is unimportant. It makes me feel like I shouldn’t stress so much about school because in the grand scheme of things, if I don’t do well on this essay, does it really matter?

  23. There was another galaxy. A different time period. At which she could control when to go there and when to return back to earth. At any moment in time, she could poof. Disappear in thin air and appear in this different galaxy. Which was a hundred years farther into technology and time than Planet Earth. She could do anything she wanted. This whole different universe, different galaxy, was her escape plan. When she needed to go, she would leave Earth.

  29. A place far beyond anything we could possibly imagine. Something so far off holding all of our hopes and dreams of exploration and discovery. It is impossible and ridiculous to think in this vast universe that we are the only ones in it, some day, we’ll all meet.

That this galaxy, this endless, starry glaxy would end. He could feel it in his bones, that the end was coming. And here, here it came.

  33. Long ago in a galaxy far away.. but then anyone who stops to think about it, does distance exist? What is empty space? Nothing. The amount of nothing between here and there, between me and you, if nothing doesn’t exist, then how can distance? These questions are not real, they are only an attempt to think farther when in truth they can be answered with a heavy hand.

The only thing I learned was that sometimes I just have to accept that I may not yet be the best or the smartest I can be.

  36. Galaxy: it’s the entire universe. It’s an open space that’s big enough to swallow you whole. Where I get lost inside of myself and where my deepest thoughts come alive. That’s what the galaxy is. Open, dark, mysterious, eternal.

  39. I wish I had a bunch of stars in my pocket. To sprinkle about on the ground as I walked. Leaving a hansel and gretle trail for friends to follow. Not sure where I want the trail to lead. Just like the idea of a glittering night path in the forest.

  40. Someone told me that you’re going to a new outer space galaxy for your study abroad program.
    I am.
    Where?
    When?
    Why?
    HOW?
Am I the only one concerned about the feasibility of this idea?
    Well, am I?
Nah, it’s something cool, everyone else said. The one girl with the pretty smile laughed; don’t you know when something cool and new appears, you just gotta roll with it?
