  1. The train derailed from the track, and I thought that that would be my final moment alive. The rush of smoke, and the growing fire surrounding me drowned my thoughts as I ran through the train.

  2. Walking next to the stars, by the derailed tree, why am I writing bullshit instead something meaningful? maybe because nothing has a meaning for me anymore…

  3. I fell off the train last night, or I should say it fell off the tracks. There was a small girl with a dog on the track and I think the conductor tried to stop too quickly. What was he thinking? It’s hard to stop a train so quickly I think. She was crying.

  4. It could have derailed then, and now
    everything against the future
    quietly encouraged
    with a sleepless tendency

  5. Derailed?
    I was never on track.
    Actually,
I am so used to being off course
that this is me following a path.

    Path of no path
    where you will take me
    I’ll never know
    bad luck keeps striking me
    cursed by the lightning king
smite me, make me a target
    you’ll attempt to miss but
    always hit
me in the mind that has
    accepted this type of life,
    this beaten bath I’ve learned
    to cope with,

    When two roads
diverged in the wood, I spoke
with myself and a third appeared
I walked straight through the trees
and let nature steer me wearily
down a path of no path,
    no circles or straight lines,
    no south, but north switched
places with east and I was never
    lost nor found, not following
any footsteps, each step I took
    another scene, another hook
laid out before me, I’ve never been
    able to choose,

    Just watch this life
control my life, follow the flow
    of no real rule
    and stop all the time
to smell the air, the roses,
    the carelessness of my life
is so careful, everything is true
    everything around me is real
and I am able to govern nothing
    except for my life’s unpredictability.

  9. Today the train derailed in NYC. It was a lucky day that no one was hurt. We are grateful for that news. Because it is almost Christmas and that means the family of those aboard will have the good news to know that their families are all well and they will be able to have a Merry Christmas.

that comment hit like a comet blowing down our youth
you could say that she was crazy

  15. Can’t even seem to do this right – my hands can’t feed the keys of this old machine. My young son interrupts me while I’m trying to see against the light. Can’t make out your white words against the heather. I push the wrong button. My few lines on derailed are lost now. Like I am.

  16. The conductor fell asleep at the wheel, it seems. This train will not slow down, and as the passengers are blissfully unaware of their coming fate, I can do nothing but fear and pray.
