  30. ice cream is always a delight., except maybe when it’s cold outside. Another delight is reading. I love to read, can’t stop. I like mysteries and comedic writings. Delights are also found in toddlers. Watching them walk around, test the world. Asking them questions to see what they’re thinking. Holding my husband’s hand is a delight. Especially when he’s the initiator. After 26 years of marriage and 5 years before that, he still loves me best. and I love him best. can’t beat that. there are a lot of measures of success, but of all of them, this is the one that I feel is most important. Having someone you love who loves you just as much. Someone who takes care of your heart. Someone who shields you from hurt and smiles when he sees you. Children are a delight also. except when they are teenagers. Then not so much. I was delighted to see a butterfly on my butterfly bush one overcast morning. I ran in and got my camera and was happy to see it was still there when I got back out. I took several photos, most of them blurry, but a couple very nice ones. The butterfly was yellow, with a damaged wing. It didn’t seem to hamper it though. It flitted from bud to bud for quite awhile, never worrying about me. This morning, I saw it again. On the same bush. I ran up closer to make sure that it was the same one with the damaged wing. It was. Pretty neat to see it again. No photos this time. Just the delight of watching it go about it’s day.
