  10. Ice cream dripping down my hand. I bring my fingers to my lips and lightly lick it off. Choclate taste fills my mouth and you watch as I laughingly extend my hand to you for a try. To my surprise you wrap you lips around my finger. I’ve never felt so alive.

  11. It was on his head. Dumbass. Bright and orange and slightly tipping over so he’d have to adjust by wagging his butt. The cigarette in his mouth similarly fell at a drooping angle. He smiled, still trying to hold the both of them together. He thought this performance would make me laugh, too.

  16. Ted didn’t know what to think. The construction that was construed on highway 14 had not been there the day before. Orange cones and equipment were everywhere. The precautions were not set in stone. The accident was horrific. And then he remembered at that moment in time, “I have a cat named whiskers.”

  17. The ice cream cone descended upon a thousand nations, deliberately smearing the image of the once great Balthazar. He did not know what wrath this delicious treat would cause. He only knew that this curse was delectable.

  18. I want an ice-cream, a coffee one please, I want proper Cornish Ice-cream in a proper biscuit cone. I want coffee sauce on it, I want ice-cream that goes to the bottom of the cone. I feel so hot and sticky that I so could do with an ice-cream cone. Are you going to treat me, or do I have to pay for them today?

  19. these remind me of madonna’s big-breasted playboy days. i also tend to think of a spherical type object in joe dealy’s math class. or do I take myself back to the days of playing soccer on the elementary school field. That’s probably the best rememberance of the word cone. Simply trying to get the ball between the two cones. Though as an adult now, I could also try and shoot a ball between two cones, but it would have a completely different meaning contextually. ANd you usually don’t shoot off balls, rather shoot a nut. But back when I was in elementary school, this was probably the furthest thing from my mind when I looked at the two goals that combined to make a soccer goal. No, I simply wanted to get a goal. And I’m not sure why I immediately likened the cones to soccer, considering I didn’t really like soccer as much as I did most of the other sports. Basketball and Dave Garvin would be a much

  22. i like ice cream cones. yesterday roy and max bought the largest ice cream cones i have ever seen in my entire life. they just remind me of childhood when we would go to the cape and buy the cones with whatever change we made from selling lemonade in the yard. i won’t forget those days and i definitely will not forget yesterday. i like waffle cones the best. they are delicious. the end i think. maybe i’m not out of time yet. yay cones. eat vanilla ice cream with milo.

  23. i like ice cream. it makes me happy those days in the summer with a sugar con or was it one of those dry cones that are so tasteless? I can hear the sound of the ice cream truck rolling around and I would be running as fast as i could to catch it. those were the days when things were simple and life was all about being happy.

  25. I always think of Madonna’s cones from the early nineties. I think that is pop culture conditioning. I wasn’t even really into her music because I was too young. I wasn’t old enough to understand. I also think of roller derby when I hear ‘cones’ becausewe use them to mark our track.

  26. it can hold ice cream or it can be a traffic sign that stupid unfunny students will use to be ‘hilarious;, but it really isn’t. But a cone shape can be vwery nice, i don’t really know why, maybe something to do with hats shaped like cones. A reminder of parties…maybe not parties now that i’m 19 but back in the day, where you had jammy dodgers instead of beer, it was very cool to have a cone-shaped party hat. that’s all i’ve really got to say on the issue really, but cones are also fun to make, and sort of look like horns, which is great. Unicorn horns and biso horns are perhaps the best…other cone-shaped horns can be intimidating. Cone rhymes with ‘moan’ and ‘groan’ and ‘phone’…i don’t know what that even alludes to. on the phone, with a cone, owe someone a loan, makes me groan…in fustration. Hmmm yeah, i wish i was given another shape to write about. There’s plenty you can say about a circle. cones are sort of like circles though

  27. a shape, cylindrical in appearance. or maybe it is a icecream holder. who knows. But then sometimes a cone can be used to improve the quality of sound recieved by some one. reminds of the famous cone bra worn by madonna one time , think it was in the vogue video or something like that. what happens now??

  28. Ah,the joys of licking ,shlurping and blowing ones mind in a euphotia of the ultimate comfort food :icecream. How can one NOT enjoy icecream in a cone?Bowls are dull & detract from the utter joy of the icecream experience. There’s something about the messiness of an icecream cone that feeds our inner child(no pun intended)in a way that only the disgusting mess that a cone of melting Sugar& cream can satisfy. As one reaches the final end ie “the cone “,one can only relinquish onesself in the ultimate satisfaction of total bliss,as one relishes the, hopefully, still abstract crunchiness of the cone;the perfect ending to a sweet.sweet story.

  29. Hell, its that time of the year again. Not winter, because in Durban winter never really comes. Its just time for the cones to fall and that about it. Kids invoke injuries and adults have happy memories of invoking injuries. And that’s the closest Durban ever gets to winter.

  30. The cone funneled water down into the basin below. I stood above it with a pitcher watching the water make a whirlpool in the white infinity as it splashed against the side of the cone and swirled downwards, like a shot down an alcoholic’s throat.

  35. round shaped object ooo ice cream. Its yummy montessori shapes. blue. I remember the cone of silence and sitting in an orange chair as a kid watching Get Smart while my mom did laundry, ironing, etc. It was fun and I felt safe. I don’t like cones, though. Too pointy. I prefer ovoid shapes. Eggs, ovals. Nothing too perfect, nothing too pointy. Just curvy and wobbly.

  40. The word cone reminds me of conis, in math. Conics are things like parabolas, ellipes, circles and such. The cone also reminds me of orange traffic cones – I have to take driving lessons these summer. I have to pay for them. Get a job and pay for them. That won’t be terribly easy. I’m working on that right now.
