The mission went well, the target had been captured, and there had been no loss of life among his own men. Gillen walked into the officer’s mess expecting to be welcomed like a hero, but there was a strange silence in the room. “What’s up?” he asked one of the officers standing by the buffet. “It’s over. The rebels have taken the Castle, and Supreme Command has surrendered. We have been ordered to stand down and await orders to disband.” Gillen’s arm fell lifeless to his sides, but he smiled slightly. “At last,” he thought; “No more killing!”

Time flies when you are with them but it might just be that it stops because nothing else is important. You are captured by a madness that locks and frees your soul. You call it a crush, your heart calls it madness, I call it love.
