  1. coming through…movie theater ushers in little hats and flashlights. aisles are always tight with space. hard to get in and out of…grocery store aisles go on and on and on…line of seats…aisle

  2. The aisle is the in-between place in a plane. It’s when you’re moving, definitely forward, but you’re undecided as to how you’re positioned. I think I live in the aisle. And I’m still not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

    by x3b on 05.27.2008
  3. aisle? like a grocery aisle? with food and what not? i like food:) maybe an aisle is like an alley. People think bad things could happen in alleyways but you could also find money xD everyone likes money…except me..i hate money. money has corrupter our soceity.

  4. Clean up on Aisle three some kid puked up the Ecstacy he took earlier. That might explain why while he’s throwing up he’s taking his clothes off. Someone should help him, but no just because people are assholes they walk by as if nothing is happening.

    by Eric Pitt on 05.27.2008
  5. I walked down the aisle and looked at the beautiful things dancing in front of me waiting for me to pluck them up and put them in my cart.

So many beautiful things to choose from. I can have any and all of them. What shall I have. I see a beautiful set of sheets. And warm thick bath towels. I love that I can enjoy walking down this aisle.

  6. One row in a shopping area, such as Wal-Mart. Generally filled to the brim with valuable goods, such as food, drink, paper plates/cups, toilet paper, etc. You might find a friend of yours in the aisles. In the event that this occurs, be sure to greet them heartily.

    by Trevor Sawicki on 05.27.2008
  7. aisle. Shopping at wal mart at 2 AM, just because you can. Searching for the perfect snack at a rest stop along the interstate.

    by Michael on 05.27.2008
  8. He walked towards me down the aisle, gun scraping along the metal walls. His gait was ragged, with a heavy limp on his left side, and he nearly fell over when he reached me. Revealing rotting yellow teeth he spoke.

“Richard…. oh Richard I’ve found you at last.”

    by Don on 05.27.2008
  9. Aisle 1 please, clean up the children’s messes and the clutter on the floor. Forget the fact that you’re wasting your time away cleaning up messes you didn’t make, when you could be doing something useful. Like cleaning up your OWN messes. Horrible past relationships and boyfriends who left their dirty rubbers behind. Now THAT’S a good cleanup.

  10. When she walked down the aisle her groom began to cry. That was the most beautiful and touching part of the whole wedding. Soon all her bridesmaids, the groom and the bride were all crying.

    by kate on 05.27.2008
  11. I couldn’t help noticing the similarities between the aisle she was walking down and the one where we’d met. Narrow, surrounded by strangers, but still awestruck with each other.

    by Ant on 05.27.2008
  12. Aisle. It’s hard to spell, hard to read, hard to walk. There are aisles in supermarkets and churches, but they don’t mean the same thing. People walk down the aisle at a supermarket and don’t think twice about it, but they do think twice before walking down an aisle at church. At church it is a commitment, and one that most people don’t fully understand. This makes me think of activism and truth. And choice.

    by Hannah on 05.27.2008
  13. An aisle. In a church? A library? These walkways get you where you want to go. Did you know that harder surfaces make you walk faster? Next time you walk down an aisle, see if they want you to walk slowly or walk fast through the area. Is is carpet or tile?

  14. when i walk through the market and see the peanut butter i feel excited about the toast that i will be eatin gwith my tomatoes in the future, the flat juicy goodness that fills me with joy at the sight of the sun out my window. the brioghtess meakes my heart beat and the flushing cheeks of my woman go crazy because of their sexed up sexness.

  15. a slice in time, in space
lined with the product we consume
a sliver of greed, food stackedto the ceiling
we will never eat, only hoard
The dance of metal laced boxes as we shuffle growling
never looking into each other’s eyes

    by Ananda on 05.27.2008
  16. How very apt that I should feel lethargic with mere months before my wedding. Very little motivation.

But then it’s warm, and I’ve never been a first-minute person. The only problem is that she isn’t a last minute person.

    by Phil H on 05.27.2008
  17. as we walked down the aisle we ran over a small flower and the crushed smell drifted up to enclose us with the oder of heavenly scent of love.

    by Judi Green on 05.27.2008
  18. the aisle in the supermarket is filled with lots of things. foods to tempt me, foods that cost way too much, foods that i should eat but i don’t for whatever reason. i like to see what new items are out there. i love trying new products, or variations of old products such as peanut butter whoppers. yes, i can’t help but think of the grocery store when i see the word aisle. it’s just the way i am. carts, children, food. candy! cashiers. u-scan. bags. good times.

  19. In publix when I was little, old ladies used to come and admire my curly blonde hair. I fucking hated it, and was really shy that entire phase of my life. Little did I know that a run in at an aisle would effect my self concious so drastically for the rest of my life. I’ve grown to love my hair far more since.

  20. we’re coming down the aisle.

    oh god.

i really do not want to get married.

    is this a jewish wedding.

    please say it is.

are there aisles in jewish weddings.

i’m sure we’ll have a simply terrible band at our reception.

    simply awful.

  23. I was walking down the aisle, not the grocery store ailse, but the wedding aisle. I was wearing a white dress and my husband to be was at the end. my father’s hand was linked in mine as we glided down the aisle to the bad, slow music. we were on the beach though, which made it better.

  25. A wedding aisle can be a plae of joy.
A supermarket aisle a place of gastronomic bounty.
Not to be confused with isle, another word for island.

    by Ed on 05.27.2008
  26. I remember walking down the aisle on my wedding day. Actually I really don’t. I remember parts of the day – worrying that I’d trip on my dress as I came downstairs at home. Giggling as I tried to fit the ring on Nic’s finger. Other parts are lost in a blur of excitement and nerves. I remember standing outside the chapel getting ready to go in.

  28. i hate aisles especially aisle seats on buses, planes etc… it bores me. aisles are boring.. no action at all. but on planes, you can enjoy the asses of nice ladies serving passengers…

  29. Straight, simple, full of things for eating, for drinking, for washing down the old VW parked outside, for cleaning the hair, the dog and the laundry. Above all though, the best thing any aisle can hope to hold, is dessert.

  30. I walk down the aisle. Start walking faster and faster. Now it’s not exactly what you would call a speed walk but more of a run. “What way is it” I have been searching for what seems like lifetimes (yes plural) All I want to do is find my destination. Where do I fit? Where do I belong? Where is is I can make a difference? Then I come upon this aisle and notice this is everything I have been yearning for.

  32. Walking down that aisle was the worst thing she could have done. It was easy to look forward, to get ready to move with grace. That’s why it was all wrong. She wasn’t scared. It isn’t worth it if you’re not scared.

  33. down the aisle stood the pulling maid. Her hair was light, and with the shake of her wrist, all the butterflies in the room expanded and touched her lightly as if it were some trick for a childs eye to behold. Nothing like this had ever been beheld at the monastery in belfast…only today had such a moment come across james’ face and mind.

  34. yesterday my friend had a birthday party. As a part of it we went to Fred Meyer and ran through the aisles doing a photo scavenger hunt. It was tons of fun because we were all dressed up in our prom outfits, tuxes and whatnot. Yeah then we played guitar hero and ate pizza and pie.Yum.

  35. grocery stores or weddings. one is commonplace, but the other is especially significant in one’s lifetime.

  36. As she wandered the aisle of the library, she traced her fingers gently along the spines of the books. I watched her move, her even strides, the way her hips swayed slightly. I wondered if I were dreaming, and if I were dreaming, I hoped I would not wake up. No image in waking life could be equal to what I was seeing now, and I was not sure that I wanted to wake to such a world anyway.

  37. she going down the aisle
    with nothing on but white
    long tail following behind
the most beautiful of a sight
she swears she will always love him
but time will bring a day
when she will no longer ba able to stand him
emotions will get in the way

  38. i went to the grocery store and decided to look at the cereal aisle. there were so many different kinds: cocoa puffs, fruity pebbles, special k, mini wheats, and my favorite, count chocula. i sat in amazement for a few short minutes before deciding to buy out the store. mmm, delicious cereal.

  40. As she walked down the aisle her heart fluttered. She looked up and met his eyes. At that moment the world melted away and it was just him and her. She knew that they would be together forever.
