willpower
One's willpower to do anything is powered by motivation. Are they not the same thing? Willpower. Motivation. They are nuanced. Motivation, what drives you. Willpower, also what drives you.
justification
He had justification for what he had just done. All the blame would fall to him if he did not voice his side of the story. He wouldn't let them blame him though. He would confess, he would come clean first. He would tell his side of the story.
wealthy
The wealthy man stood atop his pristine new yacht. This 60-footer was state of the art, and fresh off the showroom floor. With his boat shoes squeaking against the gleaming white, he stood, and walked to the bow.
rally
This rally was one for the books. Streamers, and confetti drifting down from the air, hordes of people dressed in red and blue - our school colours. The excitement, and spirit was tangible, so much so that even Principal Evans was on his feet, cheering among the rest of us.
treaty
The treaty was currently being negotiated. The outcome would determine the fate of millions of people. The country had no idea that in an hour, they would officially be at war or welcoming new citizens into their beloved country.
instrumental
The instrumental lasted longer than we had predicted. Leaving us with a spare 30 seconds of empty time. We had to fill it. Otherwise people would get suspicious. How had Jake not timed the rehearsals perfectly? We were supposed to have this done to two seconds, none of us expected to have a full 30 seconds of waiting.
ratings
The ratings had changed. We were now the only show with two million people watching at any time. Always two million. What are the odds? How did he know? Was this just a freak coincident? Or is he really who he says he is?
duration
For the duration of the test she sat at her desk, twiddling her thumbs, watching the clock. Willing it to speed up. She wanted to get back to him. He would be waking up soon, and be hungry. God knows, she thought. A century without eating, I'd be starving too!
chief
The chief finished his sentence. Then stood there, glaring at us for another five seconds. He then proceeded to stalk off into his office and slam the door, rattling the glass. Jason and I looked at each other, mischievous grins on our faces. We knew what we had done was wrong, but we did it anyway, just to prove our point. It was the way we had worked, it was the way we always worked. I couldn't believe the chief still didn't understand us.
epic
The epic was told over a period of four days. The story, a truly motivational topic. As it came to a close, I was completely awestruck. The writer had managed to keep us completely engrossed in his story, without it dragging on.
