Regardless of ratings, I know it's a good movie and that's all that matters. We put our heart and soul into it, spent every last dime making it, the actors and supporting cast did a bang-up job. I'm not going to let some stupid number take away the magic that is, "Herbert Shaves his Beard III."
The lines on her face matched the pattern of her life. One bad mistake after another. One divorce, a thousand frowns, and a lot of crying. She pulled back from the mirror and looked away.
It's not about the duration, it's about the intensity. And when I do it, it's extremely intense. No, really. I'm not making excuses. Doctors will back me up on this statement. Even if you only do it for a few minutes, biking can do a lot of good! Why? What did you think I was talking about?
"I'm going to submit my petition, but I don't know if it will do any good." Andy looked at her intently, "you don't think the judge will understand? I'm an American. I didn't know!"
I've reached that point in life where the healthier options aren't just a choice anymore. Each day I obediently eat my cereal, each afternoon my sandwich, each evening it's a piece of tuna and a salad or something like that. But Sunday all bets are off. Sunday is brunch day. Sunday morning, mouth watering, I browser the list of local over-the-top brunch spots for the one that sounds most likely to give me a heart attack.
I felt a single slow drop of sweat running down my back as the sun peaked under the corner of the roof at the hotel pool bar and I hit me full on. Or maybe it was her?
My grandfather rowed crew for the University of Boston back in the day. I used to have a pair of his old sweat pants. Funny to me that the university never meant anything to me (I grew up in Tennessee), and it's kind of silly to hang on to old sweatpants; maybe even gross. But I wish I knew what happened to them all the same.
The hum of the diesel engine kept us awake most of the night. Worried that it might stop and the heat would go with it. Then we'd be left with the slow creep of the cold January air as it seeped in to steal our breath.
