Half is never enough. I want it all or nothing. It always seems as if I am missing something.
By Michelle on 09.30.2011
It took me half a cup of water to make that mistake. Maybe I was hallucinating, but suddenly the cake I was baking had a mouth. And limbs. And appendages.
And it was suddenly growing to a size my mind wasn’t comfortable with.
All it took was half a cup.

half and half milk is in my fridge. I actually hate coffee. The taste is disgusting. if you need to dilute something with sugar and half and half, why drink it?
By Emily on 09.30.2011
half stands for not completely full nor completely empty. when you see something half full it is neither good or bad so therefore it is just in the middle like limbo. doing something half way is not completing the task and therefore is incomplete which leads to in a way failure. never half ask anything because you don’t give it your all and that isn’t good so in the end you need to do everything full out because that is success while doing something halfway is mediocrity.

I never really know If my glass is Half empty or half full, I don’t think it matters except once you’ve drunk half of it you might as well drink the other half just to be optimistic. Well, that was a waste of 60 seconds of my life.

half a league, half a league, half a legue forward. Into the valley of death rode the 600. I am actually quite delighted and siddity that I remembered this without ever having to learn it. Just osmosis- the best kind of learning

Not as much as a full and yet, so much more to the naked eye of an optimist. This term, “half” means so many things; things gained, things lost, things shared, things taken, but all in all, it means that a person is strong enough to give away that they don’t particularly need. A friendly, civil way to say “Here, I didn’t need it anyway…”

something not completed, not being able to finish something, not full, not entirely… grey shades in life

half is something divided by 2. It is an object for e.g cake sliced into two to show an equal amount on both slices.

Half of the school was sitting in this auditorium today. Half of that half were actually paying attention to what the woman in front of the podium was saying. Half of THAT half were actually interested, and less than that half actually cared.

You are half of what I am as a whole. I’m a whole woman whether you’re with me or not. Give me your all, not half. I need all of you inorder for you to be my better half. Don’t half do anything with me. or you’ll be

there once was a half man who was half the size of other men. He felt that he was less special than them, but one day, at the bar with his taller friends, a beautiful woman made her way towards the table where he and his friends were sitting. They all stared, dumbfounded at the beauty of the woman, but she didn’t even bother looking at them, she was too busy looking at the half-man with lustful eyes.

Half. When half of me is gone, that usually means that I am without the one i love or need. My best friend, my boyfriend. My Ipod. Mostly my Ipod.

Half of me, or the whole thing. Do you see only half you would consider? I see half of you walking down the street examining your shoe laces. You’re a half soul brother, you’re nothing anymore. You’ve gone away, wheres the other half? …….trapped.

Half can be used for many things. One half, like a fraction. Chopping bread in half, dividing time in half, half a second, half a minute, half an hour, half a day, half a week, half a year. Half can be lots of things.

he looked around and saw that it was half. he finally realized the answer. half of his entire life he lived so far, and he didn’t and wasn’t living it fully. he was living it in half. not doing what he wanted but simply moving along doing half the things, and slowly giving up, or running away. in that moment, what seemed the most intricate of problems, or an unfathomable blur, became reality. now… now to find the other half.

half of the time,
we’re not even thinking.
words spill out of our mouths
just like bp’s latest disaster.
we’ll try to clean up,
but we’ll never get it all.
we try so hard,
yet we still fall.
giving up seems right, for once.
half of us don’t even care anymore,
but i still do.
half of me thinks we’re all going crazy.

The cup was only half full. Did that mean she would run out of sugar when she began baking? Or was there enough? Either way, maybe she should consider going across the hall and asking 3C if he had any sugar on hand. He was awfully cute.

a whole half of a pie means that you only give half your effeorts into making something a full way. I see everything with only half an eyesight of physicla eyes. I use my sight to see where everyone is. I dont use my half eyesight to label people, i use it to see who everyone is not what they are. :)

Half of my is wondering what to do, while the other half thinks it knows exactly where to go from here. Half of me wants to be sad, and half of me wants to forget the whole thing and be happy. Half of me cares that this is still happening, but the other half already put it aside and forgot it.

I stood there and saw it go away. I though my soul would be whole now that we were together. I also thought we would be together forever, though. There both went. Half my soul and forever. I stood there with the half he left me with and thought, “This part will always. What he left me with is him.”

The glass was half full. You could also say that it was half empty, but that wasn’t the point. The point was that Gary had ordered his drink with the express intention of becoming drunk, and half a shot was not going to do the trick.
He tugged on the bartender’s shirt, calling the man’s attention. He raised his glass and said, “More.”
