Batman searched record after record trying to find out who caused the crime.
I delved into the plate before me. Chocolate and vanilla come together in one delectable dish, crafted from my grandmother’s hands. Before long my spoon had turned brown and only crumbs remained. No regrets.

Delve into the depths of your mind, the fluid oneness of your being manifesting itself with a fleshy space. Explore all of the worlds contained within yourself, the sorrows and joys, the elation, agony, and prolonged confusion constantly occurring through our worldly experience.

My mom made my sister a birthday card saying, “Delve into twelve” when my sister turned twelve. It had red arrows pointing into a purple craft paper origami star box that I thought were dolphins until she told me they were arrows.

Falling down through the water,
her hair floating, tendrils pulling,
and she waited with arms outstretched.
Her face was cold,
kissed by ice and she wished for a star to fill the sky with light.

I had to delve down the back of the sofa for money to buy a pot noodle. As i reached in, my arm went deeper and deeper – I could just feel the coins with the ends of my fingertips. Then blackness. I was falling – or was I? No, I was just floating. My eyes began to adjust to the lack of light, or rather the quality of this new light. So. Much. Light. So. Bright, so…so huge my eyes could not take it in. From where I hung in stasis, in darkness, I could see galaxies being created and destroyed, black holes swallowing all things that ever existed (so that’s where my Elvis comb went!). I could see time itself, in the shape of an infinitely large seashell – I listened, and could hear the sound of a billion, billion seas, the distant waves rolling onto unknown shores where now I felt my feet leave their impressions on the wet sand. I reached down and my hand was cool in the water and glittering softly in the water was a small constellation of stars, some larger , some smaller, twinkling and shimmering – I reached for them. I held them in my hand. Seventy nine pence. The price of my Pot Noodle.

To delve into the open expanse of her imagination would be priceless. All of the beauty contained there, all of the memories, sorrows, and joys of her entire atmosphere — they were at the tip of my grasp. If I just reached out and got to know her, I could really, truly know her.

I have no clue what delve means. It sounds fancy though. Is it french? I hope I’m pronouncing it right to be honest. I’m not that good with this kind of stuff. I’m so bad at continuous writing. Is delve like when you give yourself a lot of something without second thought?

we delve into the pit of chocolate and marshmallows to find the ring that Mary dropped. While we were in there we find a baseball cap with a pink unicorn on it. the people who owned the pit asked why we would just delve into a random pit.

Ha! As if it’s even a question; If I could do anything, I would delve into the parts of our brains that scientists say we are unable to tap, tap, tap into. What an unbelievably unnerving statement! You mean to tell me that as I type this word and this word and the next, I am only using a tiny portion of my brain? Well I’ve got one question for you: Where’s the door to the other parts?

We delved into Shakespeare for most of the semester, focusing on the tragedies more than the comedies. Well, save for the romances, which were wedged into an awkward sort of category in which not even the most prestigious scholars could exactly figure out where they belonged. At the end of the year, we got to do some cool stuff – write extension acts to plays, perform monologues. I recited the “I have of late” speech from Hamlet, having it stuck in my head for so many years since high school. And I did it to impress her.

“I don’t want to delve into this too deeply…” he said, trailing off.
“Sir, with all due respect; I don’t think we don’t have a choice.” I argued. “This cannot be ignored.”
“But it’s none of our-”
“It’s affecting our alpha.” I said, cutting him off. “That MAKES it pack business.”
“Still, it SEEMS like meddling.”
I looked down, taking a calming breath, before meeting his eyes once more. “She has a duty, sir, to the Calling; we all do. That NEEDS to come first, always. And…I don’t think it does. Not anymore.”
He sighed, rubbing at the bridge of his nose in equal parts irritation and reluctance. “Are you CERTAIN, Zerah?”
I nodded. “Yes, sir.”

They told me not to delve deeper. I should have listened.
Now, I know. I understand. That he’s not an angel, he’s a devil. He reaches into my heart, grabs it out brutally and feeds upon it.
I close my eyes.
“Honey,” he says in a simpering smile, sweet as dew.
Behind him, springs blooms, beautiful flowers, green grass.
The scene morphs into another.
“You foolish girl,” he clucked wickedly.
Fiery lava licks up the molten rock and fire engulfs his skin.
His hands were clawed, his eyes empty and void of emotion.

She devle into a pot of delicious vanilla bean icecream smothered with melted chocolate. Yummy she said as she stuffed her mouth too full to talk.
I couldn’t help myself. The ooey, gooey, chocolaty goodness smelled divine. I took the wooden spoon in my hand and dipped in deep into the sweet goodness, then pulled it out as quickly as I could. The wooden spoon dripped with sweetness until I shoved it in my mouth.

I delve deeper into my memories, immediately wishing I hadn’t. Have you ever had the feeling you know the way something is going to end? Even then I knew. Though, of course, hindsight is 20/20 and the visions we sometimes have of the future are always a bit cloudy.

Delve down, where there’s no light and only touch. It’s a light brush despite the weight above me. It tangles me and stings me with revelations I don’t understand, even as it tickles and taunts, and tells me I shouldn’t have come this deep.

When she first delved into the world of these so-called idols, she was skeptical.
“Why do they get to parade around in a haze of good food and drink while the rest of us get to sit here and watch them do nothing?”
Of course her thoughts changed over time, but in the beginning, her heart was truly filled with hate for these privileged children.

Delving into the depths of his soul, she found a pair of never-worn gym shoes from the 6th grade, signed by every classmate, then wrapped in a bright pink bow. That was his great pain. Maybe loving is not understanding and being okay with that.

Delve into this one: “A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
