Does brunch only count as brunch if you have had breakfast before? Or if you have breakfast at ‘brunch time’ is that just a late breakfast?

Waking up in a summer haze, drunk from the night before, we step out onto the hot concrete streets in search of a fizzy mimosa and some comforting eggs benedict with a side of hollandaise cause. Funny how now I think of brunch in hangers when really it start with

  12. its what i think about all the time. You your eyes, your beautiful smile, the way you look at me when you pass by. just one day, just two hours to sit with you and talk to you, to have brunch with you. theres always this wish from me, praying to god. hoping that you feel the same way too. that this means just as much to you as it does to me. that the time i want to spend with you is just as precious and cherished to you as it is with me. there is nothing in the world that means more to me than you do. i think about you all the time.

  15. I love it. It has this feeling around it… that everything is frash and new and so simple.
You don’t have to do anything special. Brunch itself is so simple and regular, and yet… it’s amazing.

  17. The tea cup rattled slightly in her grip. She set it down carefully, but still managed to spill a drop on her lace glove. Her breathing was off and she wiped at her brow with the handkerchief that he gave her. Did he even know what he did to her?, she thought, stealing a glance at him from across the room.

  18. brunch is a little bit like lunch and a little bit like breakfast. It involves couples the most and is frowned upon by the bro code. You can’t go there alone, bring your mother and family if you got nobody else.

    By Svanur on 03.09.2012

  19. Brunch is probably the least favourite meal ever. I really am not a fan of breakfast or lunch (unless it’s pizza or pasta), so naturally brunch is not high of my list of ‘favourite meals’. The thing about brunch that really bothers me though is that all of a sudden you’re not eating breakfast and you’re to eating lunch, you’re eating in the middle of them, so when do you eat dinner?

  20. She took a bite of the waffle and stared at him. “Tatiana,” he said. “You have maple syrup on your collar.”

  22. Brunch is my least favourite meal ever. I’m not a fan of breakfast and lunch also isn’t my favourite – unless it’s pizza or pasta. Naturally then, brunch is not a favoured meal by me. ANother thing that really bothers me about brunch is the time that it’s served at. If you’re eating breakfast and lunch at the same time, when do you eat dinner?

  36. It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

  37. The thing about traditions is that when you break them, it is as if something sacred has been violated. Which is why on that summery sunday, him cancelling lunch sent her into a spiral of depression and mourning.

  39. Brunch sounded good around now. In that shiny new dining hall. Where he had never gone in his three years of college life, because he was poor, and subsisted mostly on peanut butter sandwiches (and, for health, microwaved frozen vegetables). He’d made it through three years already. So why was he pausing at the entrance, smelling the whiff of omelettes and fingering the eleven dollars in his pocket?
