  4. The Titanic was a boat that ended up sinking on its first excursion through icy waters outside of Great Britain. Women and children were placed on rescue boats while the men were left on the ship, however some did sneak on to the rescue boats. The captain of the Titanic went down with his ship and will forever go down in history. Turns out the infamous boat wasn’t “unsinkable”.

  8. Drowning, sinking quicker than quick sand… Into the dark abyss, it feels like hours passing by, the chains on my ankles unable to budge. The weights far to heavy to break free from. My short life flashes violently in front of my eyes.

  9. i feel like i am sinking to the bottom of the earth. Life is so daunting sometimes. You want to laugh, have fun and do everything you want. but sinking in debt tends to come along with that fun. I love sinking to the bottom of a clear river.. it is pretty there. not so much in a mucky one.. sinking to the bottom there will get you dirty! You want to make sure that you do not lose anything.. a sinking phone is no bueno.. as well as sinking keys. unless they sink to the bottom of a glass.. then you can easily grasp them. sinking in sink holes.. blows as well.

  10. I thought it would be smart,
just like everything at the start,
it was innocent at first, that was the good part,
then questions, stares and even tears,
Oh, never again in public shall I fart.
    Sinking….

  12. I’m falling into this pit of dispair. Drowning in depression. I can’t live without love but here I am. He said he loved me but he was with someone else….. I suppose being in love isn’t the same as “I love you”. Too bad, I had high hopes and I let it get to my head.

  13. I hate this word. I associate with that sinking, sad feeling people get. There is so much to appreciate in life and so much to be thankful for. Don’t sink and drown. Keep your head above the water! You’ll be glad you did!

  14. Sometimes I have this sinking feeling that I’m not over my first love. It scares me to think, since I have a new boyfriend who I claim to “love”. I wonder if this happens to other people? Or am I just a weird person who cant get over their first love even though It’s been over a year.

  15. Sometimes I feel like I’m sinking. What have I gotten myself into? I wake up in the middle of the night and can feel the breath being squeezed out of me as though I’m being held underwater. But then I realize I can do whatever I set my mind to. i remind myself of the great friends and family that support me. And I know I will re-surface, breathe freely, and be successful.

  20. I am sinking into the sofa and it’s going to eat me alive which is a bit bothersome because if I have to be eaten, I don’t want it be alive at all as that sounds really rather painful. I’m sure you realize that it would be painful and I’m not one for pain. I mean, sure, my life has had a lot of pain in it but it doesn’t mean I go searching for pain. I go searching for happiness and the like because that’s what makes me happy and if I can choose I would choose to be happy.

  21. Sinking. Falling into what’s below. I feel as if sinking could also be the name of a new internet-inspired fad. Like planking. Take a photo of your friends sitting in a sink and its called sinking.

  23. I was sinking, sinking, sinking. Sinking into the depression of my current circumstance, sinking into that familiar feeling of regret, and sinking into the ridiculously huge bean bag chair that my therapist always made me sit in.
“Now, Clara,” she said, adjusting her glasses so that they were perfectly perched on the bridge of her nose, “Why don’t you tell me what happened.”
