  4. Look up at the moon
    It changes shape
    night after night
    I wonder

  5. I asked him for the moon, I knew it was ipossible. I wanted to see if he’d try and achieve the impossible for me. I had done th same for him before, now was his turn to show me he cared, and understood that love meant sacrifices.

  6. Everyone thinks the moon is so beautiful. Because it’s shines in the night sky and it illuminates the whole place. However, i think of it as a plain circular object. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s so far away and just because it lights up the whole place does not make it any special

  7. Love, compassion and Barry. I liked looking at the moon when camping, thinking about God and creation and giving thanks for all my blessings. The kind old face of the man in the moon, how artful God was and is.

  8. The moon landing was a hoax. Everyone knew it, they had all seen the fabrication papers. It had been a huge governmental scandal – the papers screamed in big read headlines “THE PICTURE IS A LIE!” That was the day no body could trust the government ever again.

  11. The moon was bright and clear when she looked up to him. She took of her clothes and embraced the coldness of the lake in the unforgiving night. Her hair was shimmering in the moonlight and danced in the soft waves of the water. “Oh my moon, my moon.”

  12. It’s funny how back in elementary school, she only knew of one moon–the one her science teacher taught in class, the one closest to Earth, the one her great grandfather Neil first stepped foot on. And as she grew older and wiser, she learned of other moons besides the lone one she already knew; Mars has two, Neptune have a dozen and another more, Jupiter had so much that it could have a small–in galactic proportions–village of moons up on outer space.

She thought that discovering more unknown moons up above was also the same as uncovering unexplored parts of her she thought she never had, and as she gaze further up above space and dug deeper down in her heart, she thought, whatever it is she may find, it will be all worth it.

  13. Kuu kiertää maailmaa, kuten sinä kierrät minua. Minun rakkauteni valuu minusta kuukausittain kuin täyttymättä jäänyt unelma. Lupaus tulevasta, tyhjäksi käynyt rakkaus. Kaikki yhtä ja painavaa kuin kuu.

  14. “I love you to the moon and back.”
She didn’t have to read the engraving to know what it said. That’s what he had always said to her, since she was a little girl. She sighed outwardly and tried to hide her face from Steve.
    “Hey, you okay?”
She nodded. “I didn’t realize sorting through his stuff was going to be this hard.”
She felt Steve’s hand on her shoulder and she very nearly collapsed into it. He wrapped an arm around her and rested his chin on her head. “I miss your dad, too.”

  15. There was nothing in the sky, not a single star…not even the moon. They looked out into the vast black nothingness and wondered how this had happened. They were supposed to save the galaxy, not destroy it and then run away from it.

  16. Moon is great. I love seeing its cold, milky light in the night. Makes me feel safe. I love bright, warm summer nights. I love summer.
It’s so mild here, no scorching concrete under my feet, no sticky chairs in the office.. it’s just… warm.

  17. Moon over Miami is the first thing I think of.. my x used to find it humorous to moon people while driving in a car. How disgusting is my thought Why is that something that is funny. Who wants to see anybodys ass.

  18. Bright and dark at the same time. I stand watching it in my bedroom. The glow of the moon reflects over the dark things in my room and in my head. Tomorrow will be another day and tonight will be forgotten.

  19. The moon looked down at the little hedgehog which started its night stroll around the forest.

  20. Hanging above, inviting, illuminating us here, in this meadow, with the breeze and the backlit leaves swaying, our promises reaching up to the soft light and carried away through to the stars and somehow echoing back to us.

  21. Moon silver on the blue hills of shadow. Coyotes of the bush. No wolves howl. Western moon. Cowboys. Rolling hills. Not good

  23. Reflected sunlight cascades the night sky. As chldren we used to see a man in that, smiling. Or that it was made out of a lovely, fine cheese. where did that imagination go? what is left of it?

the moon illuminates the night sky and enchants all, and it becomes the icon of so many love sonets.

  24. Of. The palces I’d wish to go. Where is it that I run to and when I get there will I be happy? Ot is it the isolation from my own exsistence I loom for. I continue only because I am.

  25. The moon rose shining as bright as the star. “You aren’t really shining,” they told him. You are just reflecting the sun’s light. After hearing this the moon got sad. He had no light, he was just stealing someone else’s. The moon, out of dispare, left. The next day when the sun came out and saw no moon it got so sad that it exploded, killing everyone on earth, including the people who told the moon he wasn’t really shining .

  26. Bright it was
    Lighting up the night
    Wish I could see more
‘Cause I thrive in the light

    Stung my eyes
    Made me cry tears
    Small sighs
    No more fears

  27. It was bright. That’s all I could really say about it, round shaped and bright. It was a glittering round brightness in the sky, and as much as it burnt and stung my eyes, lord it was beautiful. Watching it up there, with all the small glittering of the stars, it stood out like a sore thumb. And it was beautiful…so, so beautiful…
12 months without looking outside…it burnt, and I hated that…how I couldn’t bask in its beauty long enough…

  28. its shines
like dust flecks turning into fireflies
a passive love turning into a burning passion
a small star turning into a burning sun
    it shines
on your lust morphing it into an inexplicable love
    shine moonlight shine.
    Romanicised lies

  29. Each night I stare up at the moon, wondering about humanity. It’s the same moon centuries ago. It will be the same moon centuries after.

  30. I was wondering last night if the moon since it is getting farther in rotating around earth and I am curious if it will affect what side faces earth since it is revolving and rotating at the same speed.

  31. I looked at the sky last night and noticed the sky was clear and saw a lot of stars. I thought how awesome that was. I also noticed how bright it was as the moon lite up the night. How beautiful last nights clear shy was

  32. the moon shone over a dreary town
    steetlamps flickering in and out
and there I stood alone in the street
joined only by a shadow attached to my feet

the moon conducted the rhythm of the tides
crashing and roaring louder with the calm of the night
but the man in the moon? he does not sleep
simply herds the stars as if they were sheep

and all the meanwhile, if all went well
the chorus of the waves would allow a mad man to dwell
but the moon grows impatient with the powers that be
until the sun takes control, the moon knows no relief

  35. i stare at the moon and wish i could fly away. i wish i could escape all these negative words and thoughts that flow through my mind. to see the moon shine night after night without caring about what bad happened during that day makes me wish i could be as carefree as the moon.

  36. Spaceboy waited patiently for the planet to explode. Apparently number one’s travel back to the 20th century had been in vain.

  37. The full moon shined brightly over the lake. It was a cool, breezy summer evening. The boat rocked peacefully back and forth. It was so calming that the captain of the boat almost fell asleep.
Then out of nowhere, a black rocket zoomed past the captain’s head jarring him into alertness. Did he really see something? Was he imagining this creature? Out of nowhere, it swooped past him again.

  38. You told me you’d take me to the moon and back, but I didn’t want to endure the cold endlessness of space. So we settled on ice cream sandwiches on Saturdays, walks in the park on Sundays, and cuddles under the covers on cold Monday nights. When you said you’d take me around the world, that seemed more digestible, yet the roars of airplanes silenced my spirit’s need to travel, and so we built ourselves a nest in our small town, tucked ourselves into it, and barely stirred again.

  39. I used to wonder as a kid, if someone painted the moon everyday. But I realized that it too has many faces like people in this world do.

  40. “Wouldn’t you like to know what’s on the dark side of the moon?,” the rabbit asked as she bent a silky, long ear down and pawed the fur smooth, smooth, smooth.
