She was grateful for the time that they’d had together, but now that was the past. she had a big decision to make, to follow her heart, be with him for the time he had left, or carry on with her life on her own now.

Drenched form head to toe, the man sat on his porch, watching the rain travel and drape across the sand landscape. The mesa looked lonely out in the distance. His dog walked up to his chain and placed his head in his lap and whined a bit for food.

Can’t seem to write for yourself?
Then hear my voice:
Look at my writing, and think “he’s amazing” and “I wish on this 11:11 that I could be by his side watching him write.” For I and my words will be your motivation just as your Red will be my inspiration.
There are so many things I want to say to you, about how when this heart aches, it aches with so much goodness and so much pain. About how we deserve the world’s punishment for what we’ve done. And about it being worth it, every single scarlet drop.
But that’s not for the here, now. I’m not going to place my mental knife into our bloody memories together.
Here’s what I have for you, a month and a week after our separation.
I am grateful for life and the importance of living, so grateful I wrote about it and read through it with Samuel. I am grateful for writing with an artistic stroke about genius quality concepts. I am grateful for an impassioned Love that others spend their life yearning, seeking, and never finding. I am permitted to die happy with any amount of regrets because I have find what I’ve been looking for.
So let me tell you, I’ve always meant it when I’ve said “I love you”
I just never said it before.
And I’ve always loved writing
I just never done it before.
Hear my voice, write in the hear, now. Writing, righting, riding

I am grateful for a lot of things these days. Not only have had the most life changing event happen to me, but I have changed immensely because of it.

I am grateful for the new friends I’ve made since January 1 when I joined Jeff Goins’ My 500 Words a Day project. We’re now on day 78, and I have written at least 500 words every single day and/or night. I’ve finished the first draft of my novel and met some fantastic writers to share our journeys together.

Oh shit, well for starters, I think being gracious is one of the most important aspects of maturing. My brother’s fiancee is (historically speaking) maybe the most grateful and kind people I’ve ever met. Upon visiting her and my brother in Chicago, I realized I don’t know if I know a more thankful person. She said thank you at all times, regardless of what the simple action she was thanking was.
