  3. Being about to be trusted, knowing you are responsible for others and that others can rely on you. Not worrying about what will be done but know it will happen. Something you want in all your friends and loved ones. Something I am not always and I would like to be better about. I would like to be that person people can rely on and know I will be there for them.

  5. He was being held accountable for something he didn’t do. That wasn’t fair! The evidence didn’t point to him. It was all down to institutional racism. After so many years of progress, it had all come down to this. How?

  6. One could see as the days pile up that she’s begun to show signs of burning-out due to the monotony and the routine-esque nature of her everyday tasks. Taking a vacation would be most appropriate right now, but she couldn’t commit to it because of how extensive her responsibilities are that even the slightest mistakes would be held accountable to her.

  7. my dog is accountable because he has laser guns and a space ship and we are able to blast of into outer space and meet aliens.

  8. Will I be held accountable for all I’ve done? In the end, will i be forced to admit all the sins and savory acts I have partaken? What will be of me then, when I am standing in the spotlight, whispering to clouds, asking for forgiveness. Who will be looking at me? Who will I look up to see? Will it be a passing gesture of remembrance, or will I be asked to explain my horrendous actions, just for them to see the light dim from my eyes? Who is the judge in the end? Do we all create our own destiny after it all? If we never own up to our actions, does the blame fall upon another? Are we judged based on someone else’s incompetence to take fault? Does that mean that someone, somewhere, is carrying the denial I have, for ever loving you?

  9. the stalk that overwhelms an accountable tulip head
    precludes the wind from blowing down the tulip;
as it protects its backbone, its friend that’s up above it
its noble sentience cannot be over looked–
dashing, like a deer, through the snow,
the stalk goes when held accountable for the wind….

  10. reasonable, responsible for your actions, dependable, a good steward, trust worthy, strong, manager, leader, purpose

  11. “I cross my heart and I hope to die, but i’ll only-”
“Oh shut up with that song! My week wasn’t half as agonizing as the dreadful pain this song gives to my ears.”
“Try and be a bit more tolerant Mr! You’re the reason why that man isn’t my husband and someone else’s”
“Oh, so now I’m accountable for you losing out on all of your dream guys? I’m not buying that. ”
“Not all. I somehow managed to scrape the ugliest of the lot.”

  14. Tuesday. The most boring and forgettable day of the week, was now circled in bold black marker on his calendar. Counting down the hours kept him up at night, so he busied himself with shredding – there was so much shredding left to do. As the big day for the federal audit approached like the Grim Reaper, he made a mental note not to wear his best suit.

  20. Andrew looked at her. The weight of his skepticism was written in the crease of his brow, in the agitated twitch of his fingers. She knew, again, that this was going to be a failure due to their overwhelming similarities. Neither liked to carry responsibility, not even for their own actions. So to be held accountable for another person’s mistake?
    Unimaginable.

  21. Jane never felt like she had to be accountable for anything she did in her life. As such, she did whatever she wanted, which sometimes were pretty bad on the morality scale.

  22. Aurum was held accountable for the assumptions everyone had made.

It was her fault, or maybe not. After all, she was the one who grabbed the knife and clutched it tightly in her hand as the dead body laid in front of her, the villain shutting her eyes tightly as crocodile tears leaked out of it. Her face was red, cheeks stained with blood, and skin torn apart. She was supposed to end it all, she was supposed to kill everyone and end everything in one take. But it was all too late, the sirens had arrived and soon enough, people would come in and take her away.
Unless she blamed someone else, just like what she have done for the past fifteen years. The finger, she decided, would land on top of Aurum who had taken her knife from her in an attempt of defending herself.

Aurum — oh, the sweet naive girl — was standing innocently, her eyes widening at the thought of people filing inside the building and finding her clutching the knife. It was too late, the bottle had landed on her. She was the scapegoat, and she was the slaughtered sacrifice.

  23. I cannot be held accountable for this, you think, panicking. You reach in your pocket, feeling for your inhaler because your lungs feel like they’re collapsing on themselves. You cant find it. You must’ve dropped it when you were at the crime scene. Shit.

  26. This is really a hard quality to come across people today and the whole world is grappling to find people who posses this rare quality and i really feel it is all about your commitment.

  27. I will hold each and every one of you bastards accountable for what you did to my dress slacks unless you replace them, and the reckoning will be fierce, said Fred, the office warrior. The dry cleaners had left a huge stain on them, and his only recourse was his receipt and his giant sword.

  32. He stood before the judge, his heart pumping fast, his hands clammy, his life flashing before his eyes. He had been caugfht, found out, discovered, arrested, accused, challenged, evidence brought before him, charges made and now the verdict was in. He would be solely accountable for the disaster that occurred and the punishment would be swift and violent.

  33. I feel accountable for so many things. I have been working since I got home. This is after I worked all day at “work”. I am working because I feel like it’s my job to fix the mistakes of others. I feel accountable for too many things. It is stressing me out.

  34. i cannot be held accountable
    for my actions
    they flow from me
    they fly from me
    like sparrows on the trees
    i release them like breadcrumbs
    and they are gone

do not trace them back to me

    spouting off arms and legs

i do not hold the answers
i do not hold the truth

    do not hold me (accountable)

  37. The president of the student body felt that everyone ought to be held accountable for the death of Charlie Hind-Louis, after they were found in their bedroom, having overdosed on pills. At least, that’s what my fellow science teacher told me. I had been too busy crying and hyperventilating in the bathroom during the assembly, trying to fend off a rather agonizing panic attack. Charlie had looked a lot like me. Same hair, same eyes, same smile.

  38. B y all acts accountable I suppose that I could have helped them to find the guy that they were looking for if they had asked for my help. Why didn’t I go to them? You might ask. Why wouldn’t I offer up the information that I know? Well, the answer is simple: When you extend your neck for somebody, that’s how you get your throat slit.

  39. Try as I might, I cannot seem to hold him accountable for his actions. His eyes hypnotize me, pulling me closer to him with an invisible thread of gold, hidden in the gold flecks on hazel.

  40. She felt accountable for every little thing that went wrong in her life, whether it was truly her fault or not. She felt every mistake, every scar, every not-good-enough, every tear shed throughout all the sleepless nights. It was her fault, and her fault alone.
