  1. The thing was huge, Dana thought, as she looked up at the spinning fan latched on the side of the building. She looked up, one hand sheltering her eyes from the harsh sun and her eyes moving with the moving windmill as it turned clockwise.
“Awesome,” she thought, “This was where grandma was born.”

  2. A windmill sits on a hill, with it’s nice, brown windmill things, what ever you call them, turning slowly. There’s green grass, too, and the grass is moving in the wind, slowly, and the whole thing is just like a scene from a children’s picture book.
Of course, there are other things. Worse things. bad things – things which shouldn’t be there, but they are. and those are the things that hurt everything around the windmill.

  3. There was a windmill, sitting in place
Never knew that it resembled my face

While it swung in the air, graceful as shit
A man jumped out, and felt to his death

    Guys, alot happens in windmills.

  4. First: windmills on mountains and don quijote in front of it with sancho pansa on his donkey

  5. The air was fresh that day. A breeze came over me; I inhaled. This was a revival for me. Peace and surrenity was a blanket wrapped around me, keeping me warm. I tilt my head up and look at the sky. A sillhouetted windmind.

  6. I would like to think that on a windy day, the trees exclaiming their limbs in crazed arcs, I will search my garage for a trashcan lid serve as a shield. Then, a scuffed sauce pan to cover my head. Perhaps a warped pool cue to serve as a lance. Then I will mount my bike and ride out, my eye hungry for windmills.

  9. They go round and round
they turn and turn and turn
They don’t stop … they don’t ever stop
they just keep turning and turning

    They are like hope
    You cannot stop
    You cannot not turn
    You cannot not go round
You need to keep on turning.

  10. I saw a windmill once and it really pissed me off because windmills really aren’t that great. I tired to appreciate it but I just couldn’t. Like must structures it was a complete eye sore and wish it wasn’t ruining my view of the hill that was behind it. More people should burn windmills to the ground.

  11. I saw a windmill yesterday. I thought I should climb it, but then I realized it wasn’t the best idea. This was because I looked up, and already saw myself at the very top, above the propellers. And I was about to fall. Lucky me on my windmill.

  12. The windmill was a piece of shit. I really didn’t like it. It was pretty ugly to be honest. I once saw a windmill owned by this amish factory outlet mall thing. It was pretty stupid. I didn’t know the amish had outlet malls. Wind is a renewable source of energy.

  14. Much as how Don Quixote had seen the windmill as an army of giants, and much how he was decimated beyond repair afterward, I must realize that not everything is as it appears and take life by the horns once more!

  16. the windmill was blowing effortlessly in the breeze when the farmer walked out of his amazing farm house. his wife was calling to him telling him he had to milk the cows. but he didn’t care. he stopped in awe and watched the windmill as it blew and wound around in a beautiful circle of wind. it was the simplest beauty, but it was, in fact, beauty! beautiful and amazing!

  23. spinning, turning, rotating.
i lose my spot, the world floats by in a blur. faster, faster, i spin, my arms outspread like a windmill. i tilt my head back, my hair blows around my face. the air smells sweet, stumbling i fall, sliding to the ground, but the world, it keeps spinning, it keeps moving overhead, waiting for me to get back up.

  29. Windmill makes me think of that old internet picture with the guy with the windmill beard.

That makes me think of my best friend and lover and how I always bug him to man up and grow a beard.

    Haha.

    I love him.

I used to be afraid of relationships.
Thought it wasn’t worth it and I’d just lose a great friend.

Thanks so much for proving me wrong. <3

  32. I sat there sitting on a wall. The wind moved slowly, slightly turning the windmill’s blades. It was a beautiful day as we held each other’s hands and watched the day go by. How I miss those days with you.

  33. Windmills seem to represent in this day and age the calming breezes provided by wind. I find them also representing rolling green hills that exhume tranquility. Peace is the feeling that I receive when it is mentioned. Life is pushed by windmills and we need to appreciate that.
