  1. I trotted on throught he yard, picking up garbage as I went. I was so tired from school today. I needed something to do…. SO I opted to pick up garbage. Lovely. Sigh. Exams are so…..Tiring. WHy do we even need them anyway? I mean really? I guess for college and stuff.

  6. Is it a good thing to be considered “hot to trot” and is that expression even still in use? Still single and 45, I would say yes, altho if someone was using that expression to describe me, chances are I’d have gotten the attention of a senior citizen!

  10. Becky and Rose were setting down plates when Sichard burst in carrying katie who was bawling clinging to him as if for dear life.

    “What happened?” Becky asked.

    “We were trotting along when Sassy just keeled over and threw Katie about four feet. Poor thing. Shes all right though, just shaken up,” Richard said. “The pony though, I don’t know, looks like she may have broken her leg.”

  12. like a horse trots through a giant field, or like a kitten or puppy trot around the kitchen like they are the shiz. trot ryhmes with rot, bought, caught, fought, thought, and snot……like the kind that dribbles from your nose in the cold winter morning. mourning like the kind of thing that you do, when a loved one dies. dyes..like the type of thing that you use to color your hair. hare..the animal that the tourtise was able to out smart. smart like the popcorn smartfood, or the candy smarties…they are usually 2 for a dollar. a dollar the amount of money it takes to rent a movie from red box. box the kind of thing that you store things in, like shoes, and pictures, and even cat litter. litter, which is a group baby kittens, which love to jump, bounce, and TROT…..

  16. Hot to trot…that was a word given to young girls back in the day, I don’t know if it means anything now… I suppose horses trot, doesn’t mean they are ready to breed… That is what it meant back then.

  18. i watched a horse trot the other day…it was a slow trot sort of like a slot…the horse was on its way to the supermarket to turn itself in. It had escaped the butcher who wanted to make it into some nice horse steaks. But the horsie porsie felt that he had more time in this world to explore all the things he wanted to. However after exploring all the things he wanted to he realised that he was depriving some lovely people of some nice horse steaks so he decided o trot back to the supermarkets. There we are then…

  20. The word trot makes me think of a horse. That’s really all it reminds me of. I’m scared of horses. They’re so big and powerful, and I’m really short. A horse stepped on me once. I think I’m afraid of them because they could crush me into the ground and not even notice. Weird. …that’s all I have to say.

    I hate it when people trot around like the know everything.
    I would like to trot down to the coffee shop and get something warm to drink. It is getting cold and that is about the only good thing I can think of right now.
    This is a word I don’t use or think about often. I should trot over to Word and use a thesaurus more often!

  22. The horse trotted along the side of the rode on the way back to its stable. I looked up from my spot fishing and it nickered back at me. I smiled and leaped up to run with the horse. I jogged at the pace of its trot. When it rounded a bend, I turned back.

  25. When most people think of the word “trot” they think of horses. Me? I think of a dignified, probably English gentlemen strutting down a sidewalk and swinging his cane around. Such is the way my mind works.

  28. my dog trots all the time. more importantly, ponies trot. I know a guy who owns miniature ponies. I used to go out there all the time, but not so much anymore. I really only went out there because my sister lived near there. I loved watching them though. Very unique and pretty. My favorite was a miniature donkey named Jenny. She came when I called her.

  31. A horse can trot. Okay. It’s not that great a statement. But imagine a horse that’s had to trot up and down the country. It know’s it’s riders sense of urgency, and is also connected to each and every human it’s encountered on the way., it knows so many things yet can never speak of it. Makes trot a little mroe interesting?

  35. The trot is so interesting because it has no meaning besides running. It’s just a slower version of another word; run. yet however it is faster than a walk and it isn’t quiet so slow as a walk. That is what makes it interesting. The word trot itself is just a word that would be used to be mean a faster walk but not quiet a run. That is the only reason.

  36. trot and canter. i trot to my tea. what other definitions are there for trot besides trot like a horse? movement, watching a graceful and powerful animal. my computer is sticky and it is annoying my wrist to no end. i can not even type with my left hand anymore. it is trotting impossible.

  39. the horse trot by into a puddle of muddy water just as we were walking by. Shirley tried her best to shield herself behid my somewhat woide body but iy was too later she was soaked…first it seemed like she would cry but then she burst out alaughing and we laughed until we cried.

  40. sounds like tot. on second thought, horses trot. and ponies trot. i like the word trot. it has a certain ring to it. simple yet lovely. lovely is another favorite word of mine. The horse had a lovely trot. the horse’s trot was lovely.
