  12. The night air was treacherous. The gusting against the window and its perilous ‘whooing’ and gushing sounds woke Adymn up late at night. It wrecked his concentration (on trying to sleep) and completely interrupted the peaceful state he had been in before he had gone to bed. Weary, he rose and stumbled across the room and then towards the door, rubbing his eyes and groaning to himself as the sound of the winds filled his ears and the smell of the night air met his nostrils; his throat was itching for a drink – and the thirst was demanding.

  14. Treacherous. That’s what I can be. Or at least some times. I don’t like being that way, and I don’t like to think that I am, really, but I know the truth. It’s what everyone else is, so I might as well be too, right? It’s the world I live in, it’s the space I inhabit. I don’t want to be treacherous, but I am. We all are. I mean, sometimes, you find yourself in a situation where that’s the only option. Or that’s what you think. It sucks, but what are you gonna do?

  20. trench. .Trenchcoat. World War One. Trench warfare. Rainy cloudy days, thunderstorms, distant guns and minefields. No man’s land. The desolation of no man’s land. The pointlesnesss of the whole thing. Gain a few feet, lose a few feet. Arms. Legs. Lose a few of everything. All your limbs, one by one. Your soul, your life eventually. That’s what the fight is, lonely and rainy. Covered in rain, rainclouds thundering high above, menacing, treacherous.

  34. Treacherous, and I only have sixty seconds to do it justice.

Treachery is borne in nature and in man; for example, it can be the fires of every forest, the wind of every hurricane, the water of every flood–or the cruel and harsh hand of an evil dictator. To do it justice in sixty seconds is impossible, especially since the country in which I reside masks its own treachery under “democracy,” lies to all its citizens, and finish this sentence and click submit
