As he walked out of the lift, she slipped off her barstool and silently, like an assassin approached him. With a grin she whispered “Finally, I thought you’d run off with the maid or something”.

  33. I am not trained to do much of anything besides teaching. But that’s okay with me. I happen to be good at the position for which I was trained. Most of my training has not come from a college or university, but rather from experience with my students. I have learned far more by actually doing this job than I could ever have been taught sitting in a theory class when I was a student.

  35. trained
    i trained myself
    to hide
    everything
    every emotion i felt
    just to keep the world
    from watching me
    i trained my hands
    to hide my face
    and scramble only
    through pen and paper
    i trained my mouth
    to spew out happy words
    encouraging phrases
    hypocritical statements
    trained my ears
to overpower the sound of my mind
with the sounds of the world
the sounds of our smiling humanity
    i trained my eyes
    to steer away from yours
    to brighten themselves
and not let each word and emotion
    drip onto my face

i have not trained my mind
to think the things i want it to

  37. From a young age I was taught that my job, my sole purpose in life, was to bring pleasure to men. One of my earliest memories in life is dropping to my knees in front of one of my “teachers”, my legs hitting the ground at the same time as his pants, and following his instructions to “put it in your mouth and suck on it like it’s a popsicle”.
