  1. A tandem horse is like two horse’s put together.

  2. Morris was beginning to find it hard to reconcile his own beliefs – about what their purpose was here, and how they should achieve it; with the actions and attitude of the committee that was leading their mission. More and more it seemed to him that the committee was trying to suppress individuality in order to advance the collective well being, when it had been sworn to promote both; – individual growth in tandem with the advancement of the colony as a whole. This supposed “monster” was a nuisance, but some of the conversations he had heard behind closed doors scared him much more!

  3. I thought that I already wrote about this. Why is this tandem? Tandem bikes. Cycle and cycle. Cooperate. If you don’t sync, you will fall. We must all work together or we will fail. Fail an fall. Move in sync. Move in tandem. Together. The both of us.

  4. The boys ran up to the sliding doors and started playing with them. It was an obvious choice from the moment their parents took them to the furniture store. They loved the clickety-clackety sound of the doors on their rails and decided even to synchronize their clicks so as to create a perfectly harmonious soundscape of percussion.

  5. Tandem is a two things behind the other

    by aeryal on 04.28.2015
  6. There’s not a single reason to use the word tandem. Unless you pull something in tandem, or haul it or do something with it. Or work in tandem with someone who was just diagnosed with a terrible illness. Because tandem is not emotional, it keeps you from thinking.

  7. I could almost see my reflection on those graphite silver walls. Some sort of dull shine to them that seems to indicate that this place values style in tandem with wealth. Footsteps echoed down the hall. She was coming, and I knew that this interview would expose me as a fraud.

  8. class 5 students were all lined up in front of their classroom. They were waiting for their english teacher.

  9. I’m thinking of a bike. They look ridiculous, but really they’re genius. You can sit on the back pretending to pedal while your partner does all the hard work. In fact you can sit behind admiring the scenery and having a sandwich. Huffing and puffing for effect.

  10. A singer praised the Lord for his grace and peace as the sound of crashing glass erupted across the street. The pastor asked them to bow their heads and pray for victims of police brutality. In the silence of their meditation, they listened to the sound of a very old rage crack like new thunder.

  11. I used to ride in a tandem all the time for long bike rides. It was fun because I could peddle and help my dad or I could just sit there and enjoy the sites if I got to tired

    by Brandon Avery on 04.28.2015
  12. tandem bikes are cool because you can pedal together and cruise down the road at double speed together simultaneously at the same time. tandem means two people working together and a tandem bike needs two people working together to cruise at double speed together simultaneously. working in tandem is fun!

  13. Tandem. I’ve always wanted to go tandem sky diving. That’s really the only scenario I’ve seen it used in. Maybe you can say tandem in other scenarios, like taking on other tasks tandem. In two, as a pair, as a couple. Cool. Gotta use it more.

  14. Departure, in Tandem

    Hearts twisting around,
    back and forth,
    away and toward.
    Why do we separate
    together?

  15. When I think of a bicycle I think of failure. I never learned how to ride a bike; I can’t balance one for the life of me. Tandems, though, they’re beautiful because you never have to ride on your own. When I think of a tandem bicycle i think of the first time I felt the freedom of riding a bike – without having all the bruises, scrapes, and shame that comes with learning how to ride a bike to late in my life.

  16. Foot

    it’s ugly and stinky,
    Who knows where it’s been.

    Through dog droppings,
And rain puddles, ew ew ew!

    What is with the shape?
    It’s just so weird!

    Toenails and calluses,
    what is the deal?

    And what about,
    all that grows?

    Fungi and warts!
    I shan’t repeat it again.

    So the foot should,
    come to an end.

    But I mean for real.
    Let’s stump this one dead.

  17. Something done together. Bicycles. A cooperation. Nathan, though I suppose that we don’t do most things in tandem. Kind of also reminds me of the word diadem. I think I think of it more of as an exclusive word than as a word that means cooperation now that I think about it. I kind of am also wondering when the 60 seconds will be up. Does this work as a mobile website?

  18. Tandem bikes. I once was part of a group that wanted to try doing improvisation. During one session we were told to use a tandem bike. I used it well by mounting the bike in a very unique way.

Tandems also represent two people working in unison. That makes me think of my relationship with my girlfriend. We have to work together to make things work. Otherwise, things often fall apart.

  19. There they were, 2 men riding a tandem unicycle. one had autism, the other had down syndrome, as they passed the driver tipped his cap to me, I looked up to return the favor and that is when one of the most important events of my life occurred. As I peered over my copy of the London times a face like no other struck me, there she was.

  20. its feels like flocking all things in a herd.. i think of it as monotonous and boring. its like going with the herd of sheep.

  21. In tandem is a word meaning together. Togetherness. Like the ‘together’ I want to feel with Jack/
or my mother/or the people around me, in my community, like I’m trying to get into their pants the way I’m trying to get into Jack’s? Do I really care about the community, or am I just playing politics?

  22. We worked together in tandem. I couldn’t help but worry. Would we be able to finish this job in time? Would they be able to catch up to us? Life suddenly seems so important. Yesterday it felt meaningless, yet today it seems scarce. How lucky I am to be alive. And I hope I will be tomorrow.

  23. Ride a tandem,
    how,
    when there’s no one around?
pull yourself up by your bootstraps
    they said
    but what happens
when you can’t ride the bike
    by yourself?

  24. what’s wrong jew boy
i thought you was making her happy?
now jodi when i sidle up inside you
resign to find the time to try to find you
hasten facing the chasing to get you
    a dress you addressed to
a test as i best you
no jodi i feel lost without you
a toss then turned without you
    across the term without you
damn the tandem bound to find you
    then i learn without you
then i start to doubt you
then i see the real you
and you cease to be you
it’s a treat to see you
    struggle, like me, without you

  27. Together. Two things working together in harmony. Peace. World peace. Puppies. Kittens. Rainbows. Unicorns. Everything working together. The cogs of the world rotating together to bring global movement.

  28. uhh i don’t really know what this means so i can’t write anything. but this word is reminding me of a rope…so like being stretched out or maybe it’s tension. oh i have a soar shoulder.

  29. Tandem? What is this word I do not recognize? Is a word from another language? What does it mean? Danger? Disaster? Or something like spring time or some other girly meaning? Tandem… I guess I need a dictionary..

  30. For the duration of the ride, I was flying solo, then out came the parachute and the delicious skydiver who would very soon, attach him self to me for the tandem jump. My heart beat heavily within my ribcage to the thrum of the plane’s engine. i was actually more scared of flying up in the small place with no doors then jumping out from the thing! I couldn’t believe this is what I was about to do – whatever possessed me?

  31. Together we can
Succeed? Fail? A bit of both?
    Regardless, let’s try

  32. Together, we move in tandem. Together, we defend. We know not ourselves but the other, only the other. Together we defend the world

And in private, we move the same. We are one, not two, for what else would we be? Together, we move in tandem. One Soul.

  33. It had all started with that bicycle. That stupid bicycle.

Mimi hugged her legs to her chest. She wanted to go home. She was wrong about loving George. So, so wrong. This honeymoon was a nightmare.

  34. They came to her, not one by one as usual, but together. Their heavy, thudding steps feel into tandem, the sound like drum beats in her head. Deafening. She hated it. She hated them all. She wasn’t mad, she wasn’t crazy. She could see them, even if they were invisible to everyone else.

  35. The middle of the night woke up me to a subtle pondering… why is it life seems to operate in #tandem? No obstacle is there for obstruction, rather for the fulfillment of the desire to experience the beauty of life. @oznolem @oneworddotcom

  36. a wafer of salt floats down
    a golden eye glazes
    in tandem, the aquatic lizards
    dive
    dive
    delve into their element
with a grace i can’t seem to find in mine

  37. He couldn’t help it: he imagined her riding ahead on him on a tandem bike, the way the wind would lash her hair, the way she might glance back–for just a second–to grin at him.

“What are you looking at?” Stephanie said. “Do I have something in my teeth?”

“No, sorry.” John face this face color. “Just staring into space I guess…”

  38. In Tandem bicycle, if both riders do not use synchronize movements, they can not get good speed. Similarly, in life if both husband and wife tries to teach completely opposite values to their kids, they are going to fail. They need to work in tandem to teach them good values. Otherwise they are going to fail.
