    these days that deem endless
    our minds programmed
    to strive
to push ourselves to beyond our limit
and instill a drive within us to “make it”

    finally reach that feeling
    that moment
    that point our lives when
we’re finally surrounded by our own
    success

  6. Success. It is something that we all desire to achieve. However, how do we define success?

  11. He was born a success and I was born a mistake. He was meant to get straight A’s, work the perfect job, and win awards for everything he did from waking up in the morning to going to sleep at night. I was meant to struggle through school, pray for some work at a department store, and win an award for perfect attendance, because getting an award for showing up was the best that I could do. When he looks at his life, though, and tells me that he’s been missing out on something, it makes me realize; success is overrated.

  15. What determines success? Is it the clothes on our backs? The money in our pocket? Or the fancy car in the garage? No, real success does not lie in the material and worldly possessions but rather, in the confines of one’s heart. Unlike the amalgamations of gold and silver, love transcends death. And it is this bold and defiant audacity that drives the billions of people on this earth to find that one special someone.

  19. Winning. Achieving. Wealth. Success is most often referred to in terms of money. More money, more problems. Oh product of the devil you are, green, flimsy and tangable.

  21. Reggie sat down to write his great novel. He had long believed that everyone has a good book in them, and now it was his turn. Writing what he knew, he wrote an action novel about a guy who played the most exciting video games on his super-charged XBox while sitting on a laser-powered sofa. The book would have been a great success if not for two reasons: 1) he had chosen a demographic audience less predisposed to get up off the couch to buy books, and 2) he only got halfway through the first paragraph before his Halo tournament started.

  25. The one thing I’m not sure I actually want. I mean what is it anyways? If I go by the most common definition of it, it would be making a lot of money. But cold hard cash, never really seem to solve anyone’s problems. Maybe, if I find my own definition for it, I might actually see the point in striving for it.

  26. i just wrote about success and then it disappeared. do you know how annoying that is? tres tres annoying. so annoying that its making me not speak in english anymore. i am successful in avoiding talking about success. even though i am not, i am because i say so and i am powerful. so listen to me and be happy because thats the way it needs to be. i like that they give you an extra minute to finish your last sentence. its very considerate.

  27. It’s more than Cadillacs with smoked windows, box seats and mink coats. It’s not all fine wine, good food, and weeks spent in the sun. No, success isn’t just all of these things… but they aren’t half damn bad.

  28. Tell lies firmly and without blinking. Turn away from the needy. Always have money in your pocket and don’t think about love too much. That is how you succeed in this life.

  29. Man I feel so good. This is what i’ve been waiting for. I think i have arrived. I made it. thank you GOD.

  30. I want success. I want to succeed in life regardless of what my parents have told me. I want to be the first to succeed in my family without the need to become a doctor or lawyer. I want to show them that there is more to life then dedicating my life to money. I want to succeed in not JUST life, but in living.

  31. Success — that fleeting moment of glory. One moment in the spotlight, the next standing in the shadows, watching as a younger, more cocky mirage of yourself takes over center stage.

  32. Success is an interesting thing. It is definitely something positive. If you want to be successful in life, then you have to prepare yourself for success. First of all, you cannot look into the negative side of things. If you do, then this will only prevent you from being successful. Do not get easily discouraged. Success is hard to achieve. That is why many are so happy when they finally succeed in things.

  33. Success is relative. My personal account of success is carving out a new niche, a new place to belong to. I cannot rely on the past to define my future. Relying too much on the old leads to stagnation and decline. Success is constant growth which may lead to progression and accomplishment: Happiness.

  34. Success eludes me. Every attempt to grasp it results in being further from it than before. Success is a bitch. It laughs at me every time I fail, shows me the picture so its recent graduates, and kicks me down again. It’s genetic, I think. My father never had success, and neither have I.

  35. What is success?
Is it saving the metropolitan from certain danger, or getting a B- in that science test you had last month? From everything that i have ever heard, success is a good thing. Too bad for, I’d never know. I guess that’s the problem with being “cursed” as my father likes to put it. Nothing can ever seem to go right for me. I tend to blame it all on my second-uncle-twice-remove-run-over-by-a-llama-and-lived-to-tell-the-tale.

  36. I have successfully failed at life. I have successfully become everything I have ever hated and ever scorned. I have successfully lived and never successfully died. I will never feel like a success. I will never be one until I feel like one. To me, success is being happy with myself. And it will never happen.

  37. A measure of a life’s worth. Or is it? I am beginning to doubt the almighty power of success. Doubt its ability to make one person’s existence seem worthwhile. And then there is the elusiveness of it. What really is success? And can others judge it, or is it in the eye of the individual?

  38. I love success it makes me feel good, the feeling doesn’t last long as then I think have to succeed again. Failure is good too, I learn from it and hope I can achieve success next time. Failure gives you something to aim for, whereas success causes me to worry about repeating it next time.

  39. I would love to achieve success. Sometimes it seems unobtainable. What everyone views differently. Whether it be success for ourselves, our children, our spouse. Everyone wants success.

  40. success has a double c as in ‘am I seeing double’ or do I have second sight? or do I need to look twice at something important? Success reminds me of the Asian self help group in Vancouver.
