  8. To succeed in today’s world takes time, skill and confidence. However, in my opinion the main route to success in today’s society is having a personality. 11. success. it’s overrated. you don’t need college. you don’t need schooling. they won’t get you to “success”. school doesn’t teach you anything you need to know in life. Success isn’t money or your job. i read a neil gaiman quote earlier today, and i completely agreed with it. to be successful you just need to go through life happy and making others happy and being a positive influence in their life

  12. I have had many successes in life. I graduated high school, went to college, got a degree. I married the love of my life. I had a daughter, then a son, and raised them well. They graduated and went on to lives. Then my daughter died. It was hit and run by a drunk driver. I wasn’t there to stop it, and that one failure overshadows everything else.

  19. Success is a depressing. You want more of it once you’ve got it. You feel less because of it because you don’t have it. And anyone who has it, you want to be up real close to be costumed by it or want to run and hide from it. That’s success from where I see it anyway.

  20. that is how we spell success! Success! Aw, Aw, Success! A success story. A succession of stories of success.

  22. I’ve been monopolized. I have succumbed to his conglomerates, boxing me in to the boundaries of his state. I can’t escape it, because I simply can’t outsmart or out manouvre the bastard. It’s not a self-deprecating, it’s Darwinian served up on a tray. My humor is gone, it packed up and bolted, HELL if I had the foresight I would have to.I’m rotting in my contempt as i reluctantly sing his anthem. The bitterness become incantations that enslave the very little I kept for myself but it put one foot in front of the other. My failure is his success. If there’s a freedom fighter within, now is the time to show yourself.

I used to go to you when I was hurting, and you always said something that made me feel better. Honestly, right now, I don’t know what to think. I remember one time you told me, “Friends come, and they go.” It made me feel better because of what I was going through.. But now I’ll have to take your advice and apply it to this. You were right.

  30. Success is not always measured by how much money a person has. It is also determined by personal wealth. The number of friends that cherish you and the family members that can look back on their experiences with you and call you a good person. Although who are we kidding? Everyone desires money. I do, you do. We may claim to be above material goods but, to be honest, it is all about money. It doesn’t matter what we use it for. Everyone wants money. Although it is not everything in life.

  37. Last thought on “success.”

Really, the next question to come to mind is “Who’s afraid of those ghostly little ssss?”

Because in the end, fear is what prevents most people from defining their own special spectral definitions.
