Nobody saw who I was. I had a faint, weak idea of the strength of my heart, but I denied it. I would have rather pretend to believe the words of others than stand up and go against the crowd. I knew who I was, but I wished I could just be what others said. Wouldn’t that be easier? And then I found you, and you called me smart and funny. You praised the stupid things I did that I thought nobody had noticed. You decided I was a success, you told me I was special. You thought you changed me, but you didn’t. You gave me the strength, the courage, I needed to open my heart up to the world. I tried to make myself a success because you believed in me. God, I love you.
