  2. something to drink out of and something to keep you warm also a food source for animals. You can burn it for heat and store it for stuffing things and making beds. straw is many things and has many uses. my favorite thing may be using straws for fangs! straw could also be a color.

  4. I think of a farm and the smell of it. Bugs can live in it but seeing hay bells filled with them is a source of comfort to me. I think of Fall and Hay rides with pumpkin picking. It’s funny how I keep saying hay instead of straw…is it a southern thing? Maybe…they’re the same thing though. I love that it reminds me of fall.

  5. i fell back, in slo-mo, it almost seemed. the straw was everywhere: flying skyward, outward, downward. the chickens scattered, as did my brains. but the straw broke my fall, and i always come back to it. i love that big, blue sky.

  6. i’ve seen people ordering plain water, and then asking for a straw to drink it with. i always wonder – why do they do that? it’s just water! are they so afraid to press their lips against a glass/ cup which others have pressed their lips to? Germ-phobic.

  7. I drink with a straw. Straw can be like hay. Strawberries are good. Straw hats look comfortable. Twisty straws are fun. The straw that broke the camel’s back. That was the last straw! Strawberry blonde are reddish, but mostly blonde.

  9. i saw the straw on the table. just sitting there, helpless. it couldn’t move on its own, and the stationary person that was sitting aside of it didn’t feel the need to pick it up. instead, it sipped his coffee without it, touching his lip to the lip of the cup. now, he has herpes. he could’ve had that taken care of with the twist of his wrist, to put the straw in his mug. maybe one day he’ll learn.

  16. straw, there are two different kinds of straws. the ones you drink from and the ones used for animal bedding. the one used for animal bedding is itchy and horrible to sit on, it pokes you in all the wrong places. straws for drinking on the other hand are the best thing ever, i love straws, specially crazy straws they come in different colors and just feel right to use. i love straw.

  18. I decided to go out today and buy a drink at Chic fil A. However, when I ordered that drink they forgot my straw, which is undoubtedly an ongoing thing. How did people back then drink without a straw. Certainly it was more difficult. Straws make everything easier.

  24. Straw. Straw for drinking a beverage, or straw in the farm? It can be yellow if it’s the farm type. I love drinking with straws, though. Drinking milk and juice. Yummy. And there’s also the horses and cows eating straw. I can picture both, actually. That’s all I can say.

  26. I love straw- you can make straw hats – and all types of things – oh, and then there are the plastic kinds of straws… and those are fun too – :) you can make funny noses and all types of tricks and things like that.

  30. yellow. grassy yellow fiber. sticks my finger. or there’s the drinking kind…stiff hollow plastic tube, sometimes with a flexible neck…those are handy sometimes but just annoying at other times. they usually have colored stripes on two sides, but if they main color isn’t white, it will usually be pretty plain. straws. hmm.

  34. I like to use these to not touch the top of my cup or bottle. sometimes its just disgusting. but these things can also be bendy, i like bendy ones the best. even if that sounded terribly perverted. anyway, straws are amazing.

  39. straws are sometimes flexible, sometimes their rigid. But, the thing about a straw that never ceases to amaze me.. Is the fact that it always gets the job done! If you need to transfer fluids from the cup to your mouth, the straw is the instrument to use, plain and simple… Straws never fail!

  40. You use these to drink. They allow you to enjoy a drink without using your wrist. It’s a nice invention. It it also used to refer to hay. I’m not much of a farmer so I can’t really tell you much
