  1. There are so many spaces, and so many places to fill. But every day, when I analyze them again and again, they’re always the same: empty. It’s a shame that they’ll never be full.

    by Krista on 03.03.2009

    by z on 03.03.2009
  4. Listen to the pauses, my child, in between these words that softly escape my lips. I share my soul with you, but slowly, for haste will only make me stumble and forget. But if I keep steady, and I don’t say it all in a rush, you will learn everything you need to know.

    by oneword-writer on 03.03.2009
  5. spaces are bland. they are boring and blank but important as well. without spaces everything would just mesh together and be a blur of stuff. nothing would be distinguishable from anything else and we would see nothing.

    by tyler on 03.03.2009
  6. My keyboard used to not have a space bar. Therfore, I couldn’t type spaces. I now appreciate spaces much more. I don’t know what I think about spaces other than those facts…
Spaces are nice. They’re better than hyphens, underscores, and dots.

    by Hadyn on 03.03.2009
  7. Spaces between the cracks in the ground between the spaces of the spaces and spaces still are there as well.

We space out our spaces before we space out so when we space out, our spaces are spaced.

Space it a wonderful thing but a funny word that oddly has no spaces in it.

    That is space.

    by A man on 03.03.2009

    by egret on 03.03.2009
  9. Spaces in between bodies. An item takes up space. The whole world is comprised of spaces: spaces for furniture, clothing, ourselves.

There’s “spaces” in our hearts for people – as if they are compartmenalized, even when our hearts feel like they are hurting and taking up all of the space in our chests.

    by juniper on 03.03.2009

Shoot… I don’t know the rest of that damn song. And why would I? I’m black!

    by Tiffany on 03.03.2009
  11. all i can think about when I see spaces is that terrible line at the end of the third Indiana Jones movie, where the Harrison Ford’s professor friend is magically able to speak and explains everything that just happened by saying that they aliens were interdimensional being that live in the spaces between spaces. What kind of shoddy plot writing is that?

    by Matt Grob on 03.03.2009
  12. there are no spaces for us anymore. we’re living in the ground with our feet facing the wrong way. broken lives with ingrown toenails ruining our perfect two step. the music doesn’t even line up to our movements anymore. why put a space in here? we just keep running until there is no more space. feet tapping a rhythm that loses it’s place.

    by matthew on 03.03.2009
  13. The spaces between his teeth were endearing. Most people didn’t agree, but I found them a sign of his artlessness, his genuineness. He wasted no mental energy on his appearance, only on his music.

    by Virginia on 03.03.2009
  14. Void spaces are good if they are like little birds flying above water . Empty spaces, or filled spaces are the same kind of spaces actually because they’re like holes in the brains of people. They re never actually filled

    by Adina on 03.03.2009
  15. the parts inbetween teeth i love the most. they give character to a smile. they let the light in to the throat, illuminating the vocal chords that bring forth the laugh, the idea, the statement. I love spaces between teeth. Especially between the two big ones.

    by cazza on 03.03.2009
  16. Spaces is the belief that space is not the only one of its kind in our Universe. To make it clearer, I’ll use the example of Spaces, the interface add-on in Mac OS X. The different spaces all use the same background, but not the same content.

    by Darwin on 03.03.2009
  17. even though we all have space between one another, it is what we choose to do with the space that we have. space is outer, and it can also be inner. space can be positive, or it can be negative. space can be filled or it can be left alone.

    by kevin on 03.03.2009
  18. In spaces of life, there stand people who matter and then there are spaces in between where people stay regardless of their significance.
    Spaces are undefined, unsaid territory.

    by ayesha on 03.03.2009
  19. A circle is space. An infinite space of rounded edges, it both encompasses things and closes them from us. But what lies outside the circle is what I really ponder. If the universe is a circle then what really can lie beyond the outside of that space.

    by Jesse M on 03.03.2009
  20. are empty. they exist in between everything…between words, letters, people, places. they are what separates. but there are good types of spaces. personal space for example.

    by jill on 03.03.2009
  21. There are so many themes defined by the simple word: spaces. Trading Spaces. Outer Space. The spaces that we inhabit daily. Space is your own. Space is shared.

    by Jess on 03.03.2009
  22. blank nothiness staring back. Spaces becoming empty not knowing what to do i cry. Spaces in my heart in my mind and in my soul are all empty. there is noting there, no one no sound no tears just more empty spaces.

    by desy on 03.03.2009
  23. There are a lot of these between things, on top of things and around them. Some of them have little flanges and some of them taste like peaches. I lost my keys and somebody took them from where they were so when I went back to that place to find them I couldn’t find them there. They weren’t there any more because somebody took them.

    Assholes!

    by Clint on 03.03.2009
  24. Spaces are numerous places where there’s room for you to walk around and do stuff in.

The spaces in my room are filled with furniture that I have.

    Spaces spaces and more spaces.
    Will they ever end?
I don’t think so they’ll always be there for people to use.

    by Millicent on 03.03.2009
  25. I have cluttered spaces. I know I should throw things out, but when I think about it, I sit down till the urge leaves. I have outfits that I haven’t worn in 30 yrs….sequins…how long have those been “out” ugly clothes that I bought from Ebay or a sales rack. Designer clothes that I bought when I used them to work. I moved to a 4 bedroom house because it had 5 closets.
Once in a while I inspect my clutter. I sigh and quickly close the drawer/door/closet. I am not good with spaces, and too cheap to hire a closet expert. When I die, which is not too far off, my daughter will back a Goodwill truck to the front door, and just begin loading it. Then I will be in a confined space underground, or perhaps floating everywhere…free, at last, of Spaces.

    by Anne on 03.03.2009

    by Rebeka on 03.03.2009
  28. Places are spaces, except when the spaces are places that aren’t in space at all. Places in the mind, where spaces can be endless, or controversially, where there may be no space at all.

    by Katie on 03.03.2009
  29. I live in outer space. It’s not so bad. Bit lonely and really cold, but still. It’s outer space. You really can’t get any cooler than that. Sure, floating around all day isn’t too much fun, but in the end it is worth it. I get to see all the stars and planets up close, while you need a telescope.

    by Marissa on 03.03.2009
  30. empty spaces should be filled, they whine about overpopulation, but there is so much space. food and stuff goes quickly though, so that makes sense. space should be traveled, I’d love to travel through space, but not spaces.

    by Mitch on 03.03.2009
  31. the spaces between his fingers were absent. there was no room for me. he had already filled them with his own egotistic ideals. it wouldn’t be long now before he realized this himself. by then, i would be long gone. there was noting he could do.

    by loserbaby on 03.03.2009
  32. I don’t like the spaces
    That are in between us.
    The empty gaps, filled with
    Hateful air…

    It hurts.
    Did you realize that?
    I bet you didn’t, player.
    Because that’s just

    How you roll.
    Isn’t it?
    Treating women like
    Hoes and men like
    Dicks.

    I don’t like the spaces,
    Between us.

    by Alina on 03.03.2009
  33. are between the bed and the wall, the cat and its ear. I am leaving here in an hour and twenty three minutes to go in between here and my home. I will shoot stars in between and return here again tomorrow to wait again until the end, in the dark desk and between paper.

    by Taryn on 03.03.2009
  34. Big open spaces, they bring my mind into something more than nothing. They are broad and vast but also make you feel isolated and desolate. It’s hard to describe how empty yet full of life they are. They are part of every aspect of life yet we overlook them in many ways. We have spaces in our teeth our skin and even in our atoms, our spaces make us human.

    by Jennafer on 03.03.2009

  36. there are so many spaces in the world. which one is right for me? everyone must have their special space, their perfect space. everything and everyone. under your bed, inside a waterfall, behind a dumpster. do you want to be in the space you are in? there are plenty more out there. go find YOUR space.

    by katelyn on 03.03.2009
  37. There’s places and spaces and for some reason this word makes me think of Dr. Seuss. There was an adorable picture on the Google home page yesterday for his birthday. I didn’t like the Cat and the Hat, though. The Cat was obnoxious and Things 1 & 2 were just weird.

    by sammi on 03.03.2009
  38. All this time, I kept thinking about the spaces between us. The spaces I created to protect myself. From you, from us, even from myself.

    by Alissa on 03.03.2009
  39. I love to have my own space. It is more emotional than physical, I think. Although having my own room in which to put my things that are important to me does make a difference. The housing here in Southern California is very tight, you can look into someone’s bathroom from your kitchen window. I guess that is why there are so many fences.

    by Beatrice Collins on 03.03.2009
  40. I have spaces everywhere in this room. we just wonder what we can fill with it. The more we fill the more spaces occur, even when it looks like the room in being filled. I have spaces not only physically but emotionally. My heart is filled with the spaces of the unknown whisking me back and forth through adventure and mystery, hoping someday I may find what I am looking for. Looking to fill that empty void that haunts and drives, making my feelings real.
