Skate.
What a strange word.
Every other word I’ve thought of something profound to say…but skate?
I mean, I could go on cliches about how skating through life is horrible, and do huge extended metaphors involving skating moves and life and the times when you fall… but I have always been really bad at skating, and I don’t want to send the impression to myself or others that I’m really bad at life….do I?
funny hair, ocean, good eating, frustrating fishing. I used to skate on a skateboard on the deck in our backyard. I was never very good at it. I have caught lots of skates, the animal that looks like a stingray or is in the same family as rays. I hear they’re good to eat but I haven’t tried any of my own catches.
