  1. Barefoot on the sand, she follows the spine of the shore by feeling where the tide tickles toes, brisk and refreshing. It’s a moonless night, and the darkness feeds her mood. There’s a sadness to her gait, dried tears upon her face. There’s a flight rise in the sand and here the shoreline opens up. Water laps over her feet. She turns toward the water and begins walking, fresh tears streak down her cheeks.

  2. I once went to the beach. I remember there being a ton of hot girls there that I stared at. I like girls. I like swimming also. We should go swimming with a group of hot girls sometime and then make sand castles and destroy one that a little kid made.

  6. we went to the shore. it was a beautiful day. the sun was shining, the waves were crashing on the beach. The seagulls flew over head, enjoying the day as much as I was. The beach by far is my favorite place.

  17. I used to spend my week­ends by the shore until i stopped see­ing your face in the ocean.
    Now i spend my week­ends on my back while the boys write on my stom­ach in magic marker. They are vibrant in color and they wash off in the sink later, which is the best part.
    I let you get under my skin and leave your imprint on me and when you left i promised myself i’d never let any­one come near me with a per­ma­nent marker ever again.

Those were the last days of an idyllic summer, a summer brought to an end by the sudden and irreversible decision to return to the city and a life filled with haste and pressure.
