  3. the old sage on the mountain gave me very good advice. “eat,” he said, “and be merry.”
I think I’ve heard it before though.
Maybe it was from that old beer commercial.
    Who knows.
Maybe that commercial got it from this dude.
Or maybe this dude got it from the commercial
But that couldn’t be, there aren’t any TVs on this mountain.

  5. Sage. Saige. I was just looking up Saige a minute ago. Sage means nothing to me, but Saige means so much. A place of comfort, a place of gathering, and place of laughter and happiness, a home.

  6. Out of breath, Mikel climbed higher and higher, determined to find out if the legend was true, he pushed himself onwards. His hands grasped the hard rock as he pulled himself up the last ledge. Rolling over he slowly got to his feet. He stared unbelievingly at the old man seated cross legged on the cold stone.

  9. I am not a sage. i dont sit around lakes and temples wearing weird clothes praying all the time. I guess to be a sage, you need to practice what you preach – a task I’m extremely bad at. A lot of people confuse sages with saints. Sages are way cooler. They dont care about other people. They dont try and make the world a better place. They just try to make themselves better people. Which actually may benefit the world in a bette. They’re simple people. You cant cheat them, you can’t hurt them. You can’t love them. You can’t be friends with them. The only thing that you can do is ask for guidance and hey will give you that in abundance. MAybe i’ll be a sage someday.

  13. I remember going up into the mountains in utah… or was it montana to find sage. I think about wisdom and favorite things. Sacred people stored away in tents in the mountains, burning herbs and finding solace, wisdom, and clarity in that. Oh what I would give for a mountain. A mountain now. To go above the clouds where you can barely breathe and burn herbs and find clarity in the fog.

  19. The sage knew everything. Nothing could go by the sage unknown. So, the problem was how were we going to start fighting? The sage would know as soon as any formal rebellion started to form. Oh, we all had thoughts once in a while going against him, but this was a whole different matter. A rebellion has never occurred, so how can we be the first to start one? Could we possibly do it? The sage would know… He captured young attractive women from our village and used them as slaves till they were old and useless. He was a cannibal, then eating the old women. He claimed that human flesh gave him power. What atrocities he had done, what outrage it had brought from our society. But nothing was done.

Perhaps it was that fateful night, two summers ago, that landed us both back here, in the town we grew up in. 24. sage represents wisdom. It signifies wise people. Wisdom is necessary for everyone in life but not till a level where you are only wise & nothing else. Wise people lead a meaningful life, but are always succeeded by smart ones. So, the gist is a person should be wise as well as smart.

  26. Sage is an herb used in a lot of cooking. It can also mean a wise person. I thought of the herb before i thought of the wise person, so perhaps that means the herb definition for sage is the more used term. That is all I have to say about that.

  27. Sage. French for Wise. These days, it’s rare to still talk to a random old dude and think that he’s wise. Nowadays elderly isn’t respected and laughed at. I won’t blame the youngs though. Old people are just becoming really crazy these years.

  30. Sage. Some people say it is a plant with mystical healing powers, some people just think it’s an ugly scrub that’s there to take up space between Colorado and Idaho. No matter how you feel, you can’t deny it’s also means a wise person. Truth. Also, some members of the sage family are hallucinogens of a novel type, affecting the k-opioid receptors in the brain.

  32. Sage. In french it means wise. I think I’m pretty wise but most people think I’m not. Usually it goes the other way around… People think someone is wise but it’s normal for them. Maybe it just means that wisdom depends on anyone’s view.

  36. The Sage was angry with me. I shouldn’t have made fun of his limited eye-sight. But part of the joke was that I too needed help to see. It was only a shame his pompous frigidity got in the way. We could have been great friends one day.
