  1. up

    getting tired

    of the way it seems

    every time

    i dream

the way I have to eventually leave and

    get real

    and feel feelings again

    in a way that tends

    to depend solely on me

    Be understanding

    never demanding

    commanding that role

like a blind man asking to see

    or me

    asking to be

    or you

acting through masks painted black and blue

covered in nails in the night

    and mirrors all day

    and when you stop

    I’ll stop.

and when I forget all of this tomorrow

and remember it the next day

I want to close my eyes as many times as it takes to wake up.

  5. early to rise, early to bed, that is the life of a farmer. I did’nt know this would be my life as a farmers wife, thats why I strayed. God, I should never have gotten married in the first place, but at 16 how was I to know that I would be utterly miserable, have 4 kids by the time I was 21 and feel like a prisoner in my own home. It was easy to see the world in his eyes…

  13. It was early morning, and it seemed as though it had only been seconds since her head had hit the pillow. The time was far too early for a sunrise – it couldn’t be more than a few strokes past midnight. A migraine was working its way into her temples, and suddenly she remembered just how many shots of tequila she had had at her birthday party.

  15. Rise, getting up, that’s what I’m thankful for every morning. My father has the inability to rise without the help of others. So when I rise, I help him rise, it’s a cycle.
I don’t mind helping him, but it makes me very happy, also appreciative of what I have.

  21. I looked up to the sky, the gray ashes falling from the bleak curtain above providing a somber reminder that somehow, in some way, the world was still revolving. Time hadn’t stopped for me, it wasn’t going to. And yet here I am, still, waiting to burst from the pile of ashen rain and stand again as if nothing had happened.

  25. i think of the sunrising, which this acually makes me think of the drink tequila sunrise. haha that is so bad that alcohol is my distinction wh with word rise. But then this makes me think of mikies family. his dad is the one who introduced me to this drink. His dad is so funny! I love his whole family. I think i could just about connect anything to mikie! This is a good thing, because I love him so much! I really miss him. I want to be in nashville right now. I can’t wait to go back there in a month. It would be fun to go to love circle and see a sunrise, or a sunset. I bet sunrise is the first word most people think of when they see the word rise. Thats so boring. How has it not been sixty seconds. And what happens to this after 60 seconds. I like this website, and stumble upon. It’s so cool. no really though, what is suppose to happen. oh wait here we go haha yea sun rises!

  33. Rise.
the only thing I can think of, is the water rising in the scene in “Tangled” when Goldie and Flynn are trapped. Then they fall in love. it’s such a beautiful scene. I wish life was easy with a minor climax and then a happily ever after.
