I think of everything that you have destroyed for me… And then I think of how I have changed for the better because of you. Maybe you don’t realize this, but I love you because you hate me. I need you to remind me what I should never become. Oh, you’re a revolting monster, alright; but you’ve helped me more than hurt me. Isn’t that the greatest revenge I could reap upon you? (Suffer in the knowledge.)

The mob was roaring outside, their a-rhythmic stamping nearly drowning out her wild heartbeat. The foremost men rattled the ornate cast iron gates furiously, breath creating a nightmarish fog that drifted up into a monstrous seething mass above their heads. They were baying for her blood, for her family’s life to pour out and stain the pristine whiteness of the snow with harsh crimson. She had to run. Run! Move, damnit! Just MOVE!

  40. Every person is in revolt, most commonly against themselves
Children scream, lovers cry and poets dream
Enormous reserves of strength are found to draw upon
When we say nothing is wrong, it is left so
For it is easier than digging for the truth
But revolt against these suppressive ideas!
    Struggle to overcome the oppression
Art forms in themselves, they, it
Is always a revolt against artifice
So fight for what you believe in
For the right to revolt is buried deep within our roots
I hope that we shall all again revolt
Do not believe in the dead weights of conformity
Nor in the demoralisations forced onto us
But rather, grow wings and fly
Spreading the words of your faith
Of art and words and belief
    Of freedom
