oh, i think being an orchestra conductor would be an amazing job. because you’re basically just feeling the music, pointing to sections you know should play their sounds… you’re their leader.

The orchestra dipped for a moment and the auditorium was enveloped in still baited silence. Thoughts formed, curlicue elaborate vines that clung to the senses as ears began to hear and eyes began to see, emotions held tight to hearts like bouquets of bravos, ready to be flung to the stage and the sky. Violins began to soar and their weeping rejoicing melancholy dripped like tears from the walls.
Like marionette dolls they trounced and pounced and danced with their instruments. They loved these as extensions of themslves and the crowd loved them for their passion. With white faces, red cheeks and fire in their fingers they were like marionettes.
the orchestra was loud; too loud for me to think or talk.
which was good, i didn’t need to do either. for days now, all my thinking and talking did was get me in trouble.
trouble was the last thing i needed.
I knew she had never heard a live orchestra, and I knew this was my last chance to impress her. Hopefully they would be as in tune as I believed our two hearts to be. The lights went down and my blood pressure spiked. Let the music take hold of our love and take it to new heights.
Explorchestra is the name of an ensemble that I’m a part of in college. Clever name, really: we exclusively play music that is written by members. We explore the music of orchestra members.
The maestro was nervous. His first performance was here. He felt the stomach acid flood his insides as the curtain opened and there was a quiet like the calm before a storm. he moved his arms and swarmed the audience with magic, a beautiful trainwreck of noise.
When i was in 4th grade i signed up for orchestra but apperently they didnt get my application i was so mad but i got over it cuz orchestra is dumb but that is just my opinion
I am not one familiar with orchestras – interesting name, interesting concept – I’m more of a me, though. Or at least I like to think of myself as independent. Perhaps there is a conductor, helping me to feel that way…
My mother is a violinist. She plays every day, the bow stroking each delicate string. She loves her violin. She loves it more than she loves me. Her disease has eaten away at her until she can barely remember who I am, she can’t be left alone. But she plays violin every day.
