  1. nowhere to go
    nothing to do
    until i met you

    you with the cheeky smile
    shy little tiger sight
    fearless

  2. The middle of nowhere felt more like home to me than my family house had ever been. Now, as I popped open the trunk of my car to fetch a bottle of water, I could feel a strange bubble of comfort growing inside my chest as I looked up at the bare-boned night sky. Without street lamps, building lights, or planes flying nearby, the stars were as multiple as my own far-fetched dreams.

  3. Whiling away her time in wilderness,
The cool breeze wafting dreamy scents,
Utopia did not seem far away today,
For she was determined to tread towards nowhere,
Where no constraints popped up in the blink of an eye.

  4. His gaze was staring into nowhere. It was like a pressure in the air that forbidded him to think. An insidious thought crossed my mind as a saw the blood dripping down his head. He looked so alive, yet so gone. I touched his wrist to see if he was still alive. He was ice cold, yet I could feel his puls, banging on his blue skin.

  5. I’m in the middle of nowhere and I don’t know how to get out. I was just at home, how did this happen? My mind is playing a trick on me. Around me there is nothing, yet someone is talking. An insidious voice fills the space around me as I walk the path of death.

  9. nowhere is a strange place. Where is it? I do not know. It’s kind of like the opposite of infinity. Something can be “nowhere” to be found, but that only means that it is not here.

  17. Her shoes were covered in dirt, and the dust from her sluggish steps trailed behind her like engine exhaust. The large green metallic sign ahead said ‘Welcome to Charleston’, but that meant nothing to her. In spite of her blistered sore feet, she knew to get out of his reach, she’d have to walk much farther.

  18. There
    at the crossroads
    of back then
    and sometime tomorrow,
that is where you’ll find me.
    Deep
    below the surface

    my own liquid purgatory.
    Floating.
    Existing.
    With no goals,
    no ideals,
    no nothing to call home.

  21. Once it had become clear that they could not keep up with the mutations of the virus, they had accelerated an ongoing project to colonise another planet. It had started as an experiment when the planet had been discovered, intending to send a few hundred colonists to survive for a year then come back, but once it became clear that they could not continue human life on earth, the experiment became the world’s top priority. Experts from all nations figured out in just a few short months how to expand the plan from a few hundred to a few hundred thousand, and how to make all aspects of life sustainable. One thing, Morris now noted, that they had not devoted their energies to was the fact that he now had laundry to do, and nowhere to hang it up to dry!

  23. nowhere must be somewhere, as we cannot conceptualise a place without words or language or any form of linguistics really, for even to conceptualise this is to apply language to that thought. So nowhere, really, means death. Or Essex. Maybe Essex. Yeah, actually, probably Essex.

  29. It’s where you feel like you’re heading when you get lost. It’s where every broken GPS will take you. It’s the tourist trap you hit on the way to Productivity when you make a wrong turn at Priority. It’s the place no one ever wants to go, but it’s so close and easy to get to that you just might find yourself there if you don’t watch the signs. All bad roads lead there, and you won’t see a single speed limit–at least until you hit the city, then everything slows down. It’s a place known for its comforts, but you’ll be bored of them long before you’re done. The Biggest Little Town in Life; Where There’s Always A Room.

  36. I always take the subway to the city when I am free because I love adventure. I would either explore the urban area – walk among skyscrapers, read books in adorable cafes, or attend a live show at a local bar, or explore the woods – look for ravines and creeks, sit on rocks to ponder upon life, or take in the greenery. Either one works fine for me. So even though the train drops me off in the middle of nowhere, I would make the trip worth while.

  37. We were nowhere. Standing in the middle of the desert, sand and nothingness stretching for miles. The sun beat down on our backs, sweat pouring into our eyes from our foreheads. I looked over at her and sighed. “Which way should we go?”

“That way.” And together, we trekked along, pushing ourselves deeper into nowhere.

  38. Am I going nowhere? Is nowhere somewhere that I can go? Everywhere is somewhere is it not? How could I go nowhere with all my thoughts? Traversing the world, traversing life, ending up nowhere every time. We all feel at one time like nowhere is the place we are headed next, but its somewhere once we finally arrive.
