  1. Now my lover kisses me on the cheek. Now my head aches numbly, but I am smiling. Now I am here. Now isn’t real. Now is forever and never and wonderful and everything inbetween. Now he nods in approval. Now… I am at a loss for words, but I’m still smiling and this is good.

  6. A breath, a whisper. The rustle of clothing as it falls to its owner’s feet fills the silence. He looks up, into the bright, passionate eyes of his lover. Strong arms wrap around him, and he clings to the scent as he closes his eyes and loses himself in the passion and lust of the moment. For now, they are together, safe, and no one could posses the power to take them apart.

  13. In the moment, kiss her kiss her kiss her on those lips, dent them with teeth like little knives. Do it. Look in her eyes, full of a vulnerable sweetness. You could do it. All that’s between you is air and your self-imposed borders. Look at those deep brown eyes, those small hands. You can, you can.

  14. Now is the time that happens. Now is the moment that we all wait for, when you are young and getting younger, when we are infinite. We want it now: we don’t want it then, don’t want it tomorrow. Now is the speck of dust in the universe, that matters so much, but really matters so little.

  15. In life we must learn to live in the now. The now is every moment that passes, every happy memory to be stored away in the depths of our minds. A stranger who smiles as they pass, a wink from a lover, a purr of a cat. The now is the most important part of life.

  20. The time is now. Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. Not whenever you get around to it. Today. This instant. This moment. This is a unique opportunity to move forward, to change. To make something new. Stop waiting for a holiday. Stop waiting for a special occasion or when the time is right or for some divine sign. Make it now. Or you’ll stall out forever.

  21. i think i’m ugly and no one can convince me otherwise. i think i’m fat and not meant to be loved unless i change myself to suit society’s standards of me. i think i’m incredibly stupid and deserve not one ounce of praise nor reward unless i achieve perfection in all aspects. warped way of thinking, but that’s how it is.

  22. now is the day i will live my life. as i steep out into the light for the first time in 40 years, i see myself standing before a big crowd, leaping yelling and screaming for mercy. . tofday is the day i yell for freedom–freedom from my own mind and maybe just maybe someone will help and look me strait in the eye and say stop… maybe if i here from someone else for a change it will work–I will be free. Free from the thoughts of my inner sub-conscience—-that devil. that evil overachiever, that toiling thief, that utterly friendly devil. He kept me around for so long—40 years to be exact. But no anymore. Not today. Today is a new day and this time I mean it. I will stand before the crowd with strength and courage because I have defeated my one and only friend, one and only foe, and one and only family–that devil of a brain, that devil of thoughts, that devil of a sub-conscience–my sub-conscience. I will defeat him–I promise. Not only a promise to you and not only to me but to the crowd of people waiting for me to stick up to the devil—waiting for me to stick up to that devil. They applaud me and encourage me just like all the other times—other times I promised to them. But this time, little do they know, it WILL happen. Its happening. Their words of encouragement will show for something—my rebellion, my defeat. NOW is the time, NOW is the day, and NOW I know that I can do it.

  26. the now, the present.
“I love you, present tense.” You’re gone, but the love is still here and always will be. It’s like a Christmas gift I never opened, still waiting with a bow on it under the tree.

    by StillAnonymous on 12.26.2012
  27. Right now. The present. It’s all I can afford to think of. Don’t think back. What’s done is done. I can’t bring myself to think of what will happen to me in the future. All I have is now. Now is good. Now is safe. I am alone now. It’s quiet. Now I can think. Time seems to be my enemy, back in time I face the horror of one decision. Forward and I have to face consequences. Being caught. Captured. Now I am free.

  30. Now, do it now, always is the phrase that is pushed into us. Into our heads, into our lifestyles, we are told that now is when and how to do it. But I’ve always been one to take the slower approach, to really think about the things I do, and that’s put me in a different place in life.

  31. I don’t want to do it now, most of the time.
Unless it is something that occurred to me just then, unplanned and unprovoked.
But if it came from you, I am not all that interested.
Unless, of course, I experience it as my own idea.
In that case, you can’t keep me from it.
And that is all my own. Now.

  32. “Right now.” She looked at them, a shocked expression on her face. Their eyes danced behind the masks, and seemed to glow with a flame from within.
She tried to shake her head but found herself frozen.

  33. Now, I’m not sure what I’m going to do. Everything. Him? Or, Him? It’s a toss. One is already set in stone the other is the one that got away. How do you choose? Is there a choice? Maybe I’ll sleep on it. A

  34. It was time. Alex drew his breath, angled the blade, knowing that the moment it would pierce that canvas of flesh, the blood would begin to pour. And Xavier knew it was only a matter of time. He closed his eyes and waited, waited for moments for the cut that would imminently come. And it never did. His eyes opened, and Alex’s were shimmering with tears.

  35. Now, the air is warm inside and cold out. The trees are still twinkling one day later. The cats are doing their best to obstruct any clear view of the tv. The dog is pacing around the table, hoping a cookie falls off, all on its own. My husband and godson are occupied with screens of their own for the moment. And Harry Potter 7 is on the agenda for the rest of the evening.

  36. too broken to live anymore

  37. Now is the time for the world to act, not tomorrow , not next year, Now. We have to care about our planet if we want to stay.

  38. Now. Now is so sudden, yet ever so present. It’s what we live in. We don’t live in the past, or the future. We live in the now. Now is reading a book, walking outside, petting a dog. Now is never some huge event.

    by Caitlin on 12.26.2012
  39. To be ultimately present in the now, that is key to living life actively. It is so easy to just live. To go through life flowing with the motions. Time passes and before you know it, you’re half way through your life thinking, “How did I get here?” No. You can’t live that way. Every moment, every now is precious. You have to be completely engaged in what you are doing in every moment. Whether you’re eating or talking to someone you just met, be engaged. Be there. Control your mind to be completely aware of where you are and what you are doing. Now. There is not better time than right now to do what you have always wanted to do. “But what if I want to travel the world? I can’t just drop everything and go.” No, but you can start saving. Start planning, start now. Live life now and stop leaving things for tomorrow. What if tomorrow never comes? Are you happy with the way you have lived so far? Will you regret anything? Never leave something for tomorrow unless you’re okay with dying and leaving it undone. Know what you’re doing right now. Start actively living right NOW.

  40. That was then. But was it later? Who could tell for sure anymore? The line was twisted beyond recognition so that no one could even be sure. Past, present, future. Just when in the world was she? Now?
