Morals are the fundations of our modern world. Without it society will crumble inn on itself and humanity will return to the beastly ways of our forefathers. Its imperative.
His morals were gone, completely. He no longer cared about other people, or about himself. What was the point? No one cared about him, of this he was certain. Where were they when he had needed them, suffering like he was. He had, had enough. The time was now, to get revenge and make them all pay for his pain.
Morals, internal codes and external values. Where do they come from? Religion, parents all the usual; ultimately though they must serve some deeper purpose, some way of keeping humans rubbing along without the need for coercion or the rule of law, some informal largely internal process.
It was difficult to keep it all straight. As a knight he had to always respect his master, always obey the man he worked for. And yet, he still had to stand by his own morals. So if his master had him do something that went against him, like this, what was he to do?

If we knew and remembered the importance of Morals this world would have been a better place. Morals make things easier as we know morally what is right and what is wrong, which would easily guide us to better things and make us do what is right and what we should get.

Really? To me, morals factor into the means. I don’t have a specific set of rules – “I only know what feels good and what feels bad after.” And even then, something you do that feels good winds up making you feel like shit.
