Millions of citizens died thanks to the virus. No one’s sure who released or how, if it was born it nature or man-made, but does it really matter anymore? 90% of human-kind was wiped of the earth in bloody swipe and, now, we´re all that´s left.
When I thought that everything was going badly, I looked into my pocket to see the lottery ticket that I had purchased a couple of days ago. I never understood why I had bought that ticket, I never quite believed that they were ever a good use of money. Most of the time people just got these tickets to find solace in the little glimmer of hope that they had that they would one day strike it lucky and be a part of the elite humans who had the world at their fingertips. One of the things that make you feel that you have a little bit of a chance to have your whole life change. I looked into my ticket and looked at the numbers on the screen. It didn’t match. I went back to sleep.
