  2. I’ll match your steps,
    You’ll never go farther,
    Work harder,
    Last longer.

    Rivals forever,
    It was our vow,
    Even when,
    It wasn’t what you meant.

    Light the fire,
    Watch our dance,
    Run through it with me,
    A perfect match.

  3. maker.

    Best match

    You light my fire!

You’re the love of my life.

    Life without love is worthless.

Matchbook…restaurants…all the romantic dinners we’ve had.

Funny how a word like this makes me think of Brad!

  4. match,
its hard to find a match in this world. Especially if its with someone else.
Shoes, clothes and colors all have a matching pair..
This world always does things in pairs.. we all need our match, meet our match and strive to make our match.
hopefully this match word doesn’t make me sound like a total loser

    by angiieee on 08.14.2009
  5. matches are weird, but im not sure that we’re talking about match sticks. I like socks that match and I like shoes that match my outfit, but I don’t match very often. It upsets me. Colors match, too, but only sometimes. Black matches everything.

    by Dominique on 08.14.2009
  6. it starts out trembling
    heart and adrenaline racing
    hands twitching as you relax
you get in to that trance
you know where and how to win
the places to set up and jump through
    you execute just as practiced
    draw a smirk and breath
good job get ready for the next round

  7. It’s ironic, huh?
I mean, it should be typical
I feel like I’m writing out a monologue
To that movie I always wanted to be my life
    This time it’s nonfiction
    What the hell?
So after desperatly trying to learn from you,
    become more like you,
I altered myself in the ways in which
I found to be profound, mature, realistic.
Since drifting more and more from my original person
or, I as I would have said 3 months ago,
    ‘building my character’
I’m left 300 miles south from my body
    And I found
You were like me in more ways than I have imagine.
    Now, we’re not suitable.
We’re not suitable at ALL actually.
You were opionated, a pretentious son of a bitch.
I lowered my defenses and casualities
‘took a break’ from my regular vulgar self
    and becameeasily coneited, quiet girl.
Become what you hate, as they say.
3 months ago, we were more similiar than are now.
3 months from perfection to disengage,
3 months from a the closest thing I’ll ever find
    to a match.

  8. I think we are a perfect match for each other but who can really know that? I pray we are a match because she is soo perfect, like perfectly flawed and I love every minute with her. I hope we have more and more minutes

    by Jacob Stevens on 08.14.2009
  9. What’s the deal with match.com? I don’t think I ever really had to deal with trying to find that certain someone. I had kids. I got pregnant, had kids, and got married. On one hand it made things easier, but on the other, I just didn’t see my life turning out this way. Whatever happened to the peace corps?

  10. My head is on fire. My head is on fire. My head is on fire. My head is on fire. My head is on fire. Dragged across the rocks one too many times. I can’t believe I failed to splinter your fingers. How could you do this to me?

  14. He tried to strike a match on the side of the table as he watched her leave. He’d seen this done in movies a few times before; it wasn’t as easy as they made it seem. The match bent, he shuffled for another one, tried again a little more forcefully. By the time it was lit, she was gone, which made it easy to imagine that the intended effect had failed.

  20. what is a match. it is a stick that when struck against a rough surface, makes a spark of fire. That used to be the main way to light a cigarette until lighters came along. Some people still use matches in the bathroom to get rid of the stinky smell of a powerful BM. After the match is lit and blown out, it pretty much gets rid of the bad smell. They even make scented matches now. That’s even better but you have to find them in a shop that cells oils or candles or incense.

  21. I don’t wear matching socks. Everyone thinks I’m odd because I don’t, but I think of it as one way that I’ll change the world. Yes, I am changing the world one mis-matched sock at a time. Just doing my part for the destruction of our stabilized world.

  23. matching chai tea and coffee ice cream with ice water and zucchini bread, piecing together neon orange and fluorescent green without any murky browns in between and then adding it to black and white with fuzzy edges, connecting an insomniac pagan to a sloth-esque atheist… is to create one of the most beautiful things ever to be.

all in secret, all in time, things will fall in to place…

  30. The socks don’t match at all, but it’s fine with her. One has over-cheery smiley faces, one has squiggly little caterpillars. It was deliberate: to make a statement. She figures everyone needs another’s radiant happiness to complete their day.

    by Lita on 08.14.2009
  31. We were the perfect match— or so the paper said. But, as I sat staring at this odd boy in front of me, I couldn’t help but wonder if computer programmers actually DID have a sense of humor. Clearly we didn’t fit.

Then why was I kissing him?

    That didn’t match.

    by Andrea on 08.14.2009
  32. I wish I had a match for everything that I have. I sit and match my socks so that one is not as faded as the other. I wish the people I worked with matched. We are a screaming ball of mismatched personalities. I want to match my life to the kind of work I do in the summer. Where has that person gone? Why aren’t I happy at the thought of home?

    by lana on 08.14.2009
  33. Things were not created to match perfectly

  34. I thought the two of them were the perfect match. Everything seemed fine, but it didn’t matter. The two were like oil and water after only a few short weeks. We couldn’t understand it.

    by JK Guinn on 08.14.2009
  35. I looked at the match in my hand and considered lighting it. It would take one maybe two seconds tops. Then the gasoline pooled at my feet would ignite and for a few blistering minutes, I would feel the inferno that is hell. But it was the promise of a black, empty unknown that tempted me to run the match against the brick wall.

    by Tiger on 08.14.2009
  36. It’ll only take one match. One second, no guessing. This life, this mistake, could be over, I would finally be free. All I had to do was strike the match, and watch my old house go up in flames. One hesitation, and they would find me. I’d have to run as soon as the house went up, every thing is lost if they catch me. If they find out I did this. With one quick breath, I struk the match, and watched my life change forever.

  37. Match is something that could be invlved with sports vocabulary. Like, tennis match and such. Match can also relate to board games as in a match in backgammon and such. Match is also like a match that can start a fire.

    by Liz on 08.14.2009
  38. They said that it was courageous of her, to strike that match. I never understood why someone would want to commit suicide, even more so want to do it wth a match and a tank of gasoline. Every time I think about it I could feel my skin crawl. Courageous? I don’t think so. Damaged, maybe, scared, maybe, but not courageous.

    by nat on 08.14.2009
  39. HAHA! i found it – two strawberries. I’m so good at the matching game. For a moment I thought I could be wrong. Was that second choice a piece of pizza instead? No, of course not – that was the one to the left.
