  5. I found the ripe mango lying on the ground, right under the tree. It was so perfectly ripe, I had to pick it up. I took it into the house and rinsed it off at the kitchen faucet. I was late for work. I grabbed my keys, threw my backpack over my shoulder and headed out the back door.

  9. A mango is delicious along with being healthy, it it best made in shakes and can go well when fried or grilled. It reminds me of the papaya even though I don’t care for papayas all that much… Yummy mango!

  10. Mangos are one of my favourite fruits. I bought one a couple of weeks ago under the assumption that I’d do anything with it. I think that it’s still in my refrigerator beside the 4/5 of the lemon I didn’t use (which I bought the same day.) I’m not home. Goodbye Mango.

  11. A woman at work today was eating a mango. “I’ve never eaten a mango this way,” she said, holding the pit in her hand, the juice dripping from her fingers. “What way is that,” I asked “like a peach?”

“Yeah,” she said “I’ve always cut pieces off and eaten them, one at a time.” She looked down at the pit in her hand, the sticky mess she created, “it seems much sweeter this way.”

  12. I keep thinking that the tango involves a mango that gets mangled. I know it’s a dance, but I still suspect that a fruit was damaged in the original creation of the dance.

  13. i alread got this word thats stupid. i wrote all about kathy and her snl references. They fly over my heads like birds. 15. Mango is one of the best fruits, but I think I’ve only had it once before. It was in CB and we found out Dad’s allergic to it. Since then, we haven’t bought it. I know Renae eats it a lot and it probably grows on a tree in her garden down there. I need to get some soon and see if I still like it. Dried mango is amazing too actually, I decided when I ate it in res a few weeks ago.

  18. Summer summer summer!!! Where have you gone??? I’m sitting here on stumbleupon, trying to procrastinate my way towards you. Why school, why? Just let me slip into a cool, azure, pool and drift into a sticky bliss with my mango smoothie. Dammit, the weather channel just called for freezing rain and snow. (sigh)

  21. I fell in love with mangoes once. I’ve never been able to figure out why. Was it because I liked the flavor or was it because they seemed strange and interesting. Aliens would have eaten them, they must be my favorite fruit because I am as strange as an alien. Perfect second grade logic that is. I do still love mangoes. Now it’s pdefinately because of the flavor. They are almost creamy, not painfully tart like a pineapple, but just as sweet. Why the apple and the banana have reached their lofty ranks in the fruit world and mangoes have
Not deserves to be the subject of a bored intellectual’s study.

  27. I love it on top of the god damned amazing curry chicken pizettes at Holloway Commmons. They remind me of my grandfather who used to eat them right off of the skins. I only met him once, long ago when I was two. He died maybe six years after that. I miss him and my grandmother, who fed me apples when I was sick in India. I met her the same time. She died just a few years ago. I miss them dearly. I miss the cards grandma used to send me, and I miss the prospect of visiting them ever again. I wish I could get the time back.

  28. She took out the long steel knife and sliced into the tender and ripe mango. Droplets of yellow and orange slowly slunk out of the fresh cut and along the blade of the knife. She continued cutting the fruit into cubes, carefully slicing around the pit. Her hands now sticky with juice, she licked her fingers and thought of it as blood from the mango. She smiled at the thought sexual vampiric fantasy and rubbed a piece of soft mango fruit over her pink, sumptuous lips. She sunk her teeth into the yellow cube and felt the sweet and think syrup slink down her throat, coating it with sugar and tang.

  29. i love mango. fruit is so good for you. It’s fresh and tangy and sweet and cold. Tasty. Very very tasty. Mango ice cream, mango smoothies, mango juice, dried mango, mango gum. Man-go. Mangggg-o. What an interesting word. Fruit. Mango fruit. Mango. Mango. Mangos. Pluralized mangos. I wonder what else you can make from mango. Mango cheese? Mango milk? Mango sandwiches?

  30. Mango. Fruit. When I was younger I read a book or a story or a short story, something about a girl who would eat mangoes and then use the pits as heels. And she would click and clack on the way to school. I remember thinking as I was reading, how does she get those mango pits to stay on her feet?

  34. mango’s are tasty, but sometimes they are not necessary, they are only truly relevant to other fruits in the tropical region, however I once saw a mango for a dollar and thought about making a jam out of it, but then I thought better of it.

  35. My tropical fruit.
Your sweet necter dripping down my chin.
    You kiss me anyways.
You are too beautiful for this dirty world.
Go back to the paradise you came from.
But please take me with you.
    My sweet tropical fruit
    With skin so soft.
You are perfected, sagacious, and ripe.
    Your nectar is sweet.
    You are sweet.
    You are beyond beautiful.
    Beyond perfect.
    Beyond words.
You are from a different world
Your are my little tropical fruit.

  37. One day, while I was prancing through the jungle, I found a mango on the floor and wasn’t sure if I should eat it or not. This reminded me of a time last year when I found a pomegranate and ate it but suffered from malaria afterwords. Not a fun time.

  38. i like mango’s, they’re tasty.

  39. Waft in the fine aroma of the end of the era of elegance. There is no sun, there will be no moon. The trees will shrivel and retreat. Hermits, seeking rebirth and shelter. Fractured nourishment and broken tiki gods. Wind is blowing up dust on the horizon, brewing a black storm. Juices of the pig drain away off the cutting board. No light bounces off the knife. Cold, unanswering steel.

  40. Mango mochi is the best you can get at Trader Joe’s. I was once at a sushi restaurant in Chicago and my brother wanted mochi (we didn’t know what it was yet.) My mom said it was gnarly, but the waitress brought it because she personally loved it. It was extremely good and my mama agreed.
