Questions that burned within me when i was a child
Stuffed into the cavities of my heart
    Forgotten until now
I never thought about these life changes
until they hit me in the face
I could have prepared for this
But now I must face this, once and for all.

  9. Major. I know we just met, but I have this feeling that we have known each other our entire lives. Tell me I’m crazy, and I’ll understand, but look me in the eyes when you do so. I don’t want to be something you look at with shame, but I also do not want to be someone you refuse to look at. You are like a shy flower, too frightened to bloom. Ever season you convince yourself to bloom, but when the time comes, you shy away, and wish that you could bloom like the other flowers. That you could look someone as ordinary as me in the eyes and tell me your deepest secrets.

  10. I am a music performance major at McNallySmith College of Music. Actually, not performance, production. I like doing music, but I also like computers. This word is also part of a military title, and it’s a scale in music. There’s 12 notes and multiple octaves in music! I can’t believe I’m writing about this. I don’t know what else to say is major. My beliefs? Yes. They are a major focal point in my life.

  14. Nothing in life is a major emergency, that’s something that I need to recognize. Can’t send a e-mail by 3 p.m. no one’s going to explode. Can’t finish the doughnuts by 7 a.m. – no customer throughout the course of history has ever died because of not having their morning doughnut.

  16. How many things in life make major impacts on an individual? No one ever knows unless you are the individual. You see what shapes you into who you are, and you wonder what shapes others into themselves. How could things be any simpler/;? they cant. And since they cant enjoy the simplicities life has to offer. You dont have to be spectacular, or a huge person in life. You just be important to you. You are the major impact on your own life. Embrace yourself, love yourself, and appreciate thyself.

I don’t even know why I’m here… Stumble upon just to get something out of the day besides thinking. I think too much.

  20. The stars
    All twinkling merrily,
As bright as a child’s eyes,
As small as the freckles that are sprinkled across my nose.
    I gazed upward
And tried to connect the dots.
It took me a few moments to find her,
Find the outline of the bear
    Callisto,
    Ursa Major,
    Whom I was named for.

    My mother stepped out,
Found me in the pouring rain
    That darkened my hair
    And made my skin shimmer.
    My head was tilted upwards,
Eyelashes fluttering furiously as rain intruded
    Into my wide eyes.
My nightgown lifted around my ankles
Somehow still light and drifty in the showers.
My mother watched me for a moment,
    Then said, clearly over the quickly retreating rain;
    “You look invincible.”
    I turned slowly,
    Blinked at her,
And the corners of my mouth turned up.

    “I am.”

  21. When I was young I liked a movie called the Major and the Minor with Ray Milland and Ginger Rogers. At the time I really thought that she looked young, a regular teenager. She acted stranged, not like any minor I knew, but she looked the part. Now that I am older, I cannot see that she was a minor at all, and I wonder how anyone got fooled by that silly title.

  22. you are so much
there is no small word to describe you
there is nothing insignificant about the way you are
    who you are
    you are electric
    you are positive
    you are loud
and you burn like the sun.

  23. it’s here and it’s not going away. it’s more, more than i wish i felt, more than a gaze held between strangers, more than the unspoken words.

  24. I’m going to get in major trouble by my mom when she finds out i failed my really big test.

  25. Your choice. The world is waiting, watching, to see who you’ll be and what you will choose as your life, your passion and your goal. It will propel you forward, into the outside world, where ideas and choices are aimlessly floating. You will chose, and reach what is best. And strive on.

  36. major. major changes. there is a sharp turn up ahead and your gears are shifted, you’re ready to hit that brake but you’ve still got your toes revving up on that gas, there is a major turn ahead and it’s curving dangerously around, pointing towards something you still can’t yet see still can’t yet know. are you ready?

  37. The trees are beginning to change.
We drift from the sun as commonality veers from the truth.
It’s hard to prioitize your major, personal necessities when the simple concept of time is discouraging. Where can we escape when everybody.. when it all falls apart.
Void. Hearts have grown cold as we hold callused hands.
Bodies, and motion, and energies – the waves.
I’m trapped under these stars. Stuck in this phase.
They say all beautiful words have already been spoken. Any magical phrase has already been taken. How can one aspire to be impressionable in a world that immediately degrades you? How can you dream of success when you’re being coated in uniformism?
I need to find a light. A path that’s long been frayed.
You’re trapped under the same stars. We’re stuck in this phase.

  40. The major effect of our political process is what? The majority of the people voted for one person, and another person got elected. What effect will that have? Personally I will try to become more active in the political process to see if this part of our electoral process can be changed. One person got prayer out of every school in America, so why can I facilitate a change in the process?
