  2. it flys in the wind and it very colorful great for use on sunny days and windy but not to windy it just blows away it can be cool looking with barney or anything fun on it , its funt to play with i guess and it its a diamon shape and it looks cool.

  4. i wished that my kite flew higher. The breeze kept knocking it down and i was afraid that it would hit me on the head. That would be unfortunate. There it was, bobbing up and down, a yellow bubble of light for all the world to see.

  5. I think that Kite is a geometrical term. Kinda crazy, no? There’s not such a thing as a diamond only a kite and a rhombus. Kites fly in the sky. Kids fly them. I had one when I was little but I don’t remember it very much. Grandma would fly it with me and things like that. I think it was pink. The string kept getting tangled.

  10. the kite runner. i read it the summer before junior year for AP english. That class was sort of fun. I don’t miss high school at all though. College is a lot better, more motivating and more challenging. I love it and don’t want to go back.

  11. i was flying high. down below the ground passed me in a ear deafening blur, i dove down with no actions of my own, getting closer and closer to the ground, prepared for the impact, closed my eyes…a sensation of butterflies in my tummy and when i opened my eyes i saw the sun shining on a clear blue sky again

  14. I never had a kite when I was growing up but I wish I did. Probably because I didn’t have a father to teach me how to fly it. If I ever have a child the forst thing I;ll do it fly a kite with them.

  18. Flying kites. I see them dot the sky, their ribbons trailing behind them. I remember when I flew kites. That was before you died. I remember how the sky was blue, and not the sickly shade of green it is now.

  21. He made it with sticks and his mom’s old bedsheet. He found the scissors in the kitchen drawer, the Yarn in his mother’s sewing room. No one was around that saturday but the wind. And as he placed the sticks into an X and wrapped yarn around the end, he knew he didn’t need anything else.

  26. When I was young I got a kite for my birthday. It was Chinese, it looked like a fish and I loved it. I found it again the other day, resting on top of my shelf. It was still in it’s pretty little box. I took it out, the eyes fell off and the fins as well. Not so pretty anymore.

  30. I’ve never flown one. Why would I? And I couldn’t if I wanted to because it’s been raining nonstop lately in my neck of the woods. Actually, I think I do want to fly one. Kids are supposed to do it when they’re younger, so why not start now?

  32. Oh yeah this is appropriate, except WoW ruined the definition of “kite” for me. It now is associated with making huge ass monsters follow you somewhere that’s more suitable to kill them.

  33. I flew a kite one day. It was speckled; a coruscant blue panoply of colors within the canvas it was set. A lot of the times it seems typical, a kite in the sky. Personally I cut mine up a long time ago. But overall it’s the meaning that counts, what those colors symbolize to the whimsical children that make them go afloat.

    i was watching a kid flying one the other day
    and i really wanted to fly one too
    but i don’t have a kite
    so i guess i’ll have to buy one then.

  38. Flying high in the gray sky lit by car lights. It was windy so his father took him to the giant lot across from his house and lit the car lights so he could see. It was comforting for the father to watch his son be happy and trying as hard as he could get that kite to fly into the heavens.
