I like staying in hotel rooms, except not when they are smelly and have pullout couches. I like pizza. I like candy a whole lot. Why am I writing this? What is it for? Is it for to see how many words I type a minute because that would be really cool because I have always wanted to see how many words I typed a minute.

  16. FLOORS
there’s no index on floors, unless you’re in Home Depot. Then there might be, but they don’t specialize in flooring.
Maybe in the library they’ll have one. Some people are really interested in flooring, and floors, and they’ve got indexes of everything these days, especially on the internet.
I think I’ll look up floors on the internet.

  17. The centermost point, the area wherein all of your answers lie. Questions asked divert you to the index and you find yourself hunting through myriads of words, compiled atop one another with little or no meaning, jumbled together, looking for the place where you, as the reader, might find the source of what bothers you. If there’s an answer to be found, you need an index.

  18. The index of a bok reveals its contents. If eyes are the windows to the soul, an index is the window into the heart of a book. Quick search, like Google.

  24. I traced the index of the book with my pointer finger… no “auloir”… come on! That word must exist somewhere in French! The night before, the mystery word appeared in my dream, and now I couldn’t find a single thing it meant. Perhaps I need to not study so hard the night before the test…

    by SLKestrel on 09.04.2009
  25. Index… what do you do? You help me find what I need in books and such. I wish I had an index to certain parts of my life… and find out when I’ll find true love. But maybe that wouldn’t be as fun.

  26. “Classmates”

Mark searched the index of the current internet page he was on, scrolling down the seemingly never ending list of names.

“C’mon, c’mon” He urged the computer to run faster, tapping his foot impatiently.

He was currently checking out the “Classmates” sight, hoping to find and connect with some of his old schoolmates. A Particular one, really.

“There!” He cried, leaping up off the chair in excitement. Taking down a phone number, he ran out of the library and to the nearest pay phone.

“Hi… Maureen? It’s Mark… Yeah, its nice to talk to you too…”

  32. My finger points in any direction I wish it to point to. I was told never to point at others because it was rude. But to point discretely if you wanted to show something to someone else. But what if it’s really important? What if I have to show something right away? Do I still be discrete? Or do I show exactly what I want in plain view? I don’t want to be discrete with my thoughts. I want to be focused and true. This is who I am and what I am attracted to. Whether it be “rude” or “nice”, it is my thought, my vision that is pulling me in that direction. So look, look and see and understand what it is I wish you to see.

  40. is the word index? she asked, hoping above all odds that the word was NOT index, because she had never liked the word. never liked indexes, rather. or the word itself. index. it sounded stupid. indexes were also quite unhelpful because they never featured anything that one was looking for, but the words before and after it. index would simply not do. she could not write anything.
