  1. Fuses are an important product in today’s technical society. We have fuses for our homes, cars and work buildings. Fuses are used to conduct electricty, and to keep the flow at a safe level, without risk of electrical fire.

  2. i dont even know what to write about this word is it fuses like the metal fuse or fuses like fuss over something maybe you guys should include a definition so that this doesn’t happen in the future…

  3. joining together. Like possibly joining together the 100 pages of psychology notes with my brain for the midterm tomorrow. Or the statistics notes that have equal importance. just fuse them into my cerebrum please. no need to be gentle.

  4. Fusing two broken hearts to mend a whole new heart is futile. It’ll grasp together for as long the broken heart takes to realize that it is truly damaged and inevitablely they will fall apart.

  5. short fuses step softly. often attached to unstable explosives. you never know when they will blow, only that you will be in the way, try to be small and not get noticed, hide away from the short short fuses.

  6. cars emit fuses that are harmful to the ozone layer which let bad solar flares into the atmosphere and effect us negativley. fuses are also power related, you have fuses in your house that control the power.

  9. they are what light up your life. they are round and used to be made of glass, the last time I checked. Things may have changed, but I don’t think they’ve changed too much with respect to electrical devices.

  10. fuses are something to do with electricity, we learnt about it in GCSE physics. if something goes wrong with a circuit the fuse breaks and it stops you DYING FROM ELECTROCUTION, so pretty damn useful I think. and it stops the circuit from dying too. FUCKING ANNOYING when they break and all the electricity goes out when you’re owning and you forget to save though. THE END :(

  11. A fuse is something that burns before a person snap. If a person is good at anger management they have a long fuse, but if they’re hotheaded and tempermental they will blow up easily. They are an analogy for the white enamel things found in plugs and stuff that do the same for household appliances.

  12. “Quickly, quickly…” His tone held a hint of a warning to it as he watched the young man wire the fuses together.
“If you don’t hurry up, the whole place is going to blow!” Said Carl to his left.
“Carl, I am fully aware of the consequences of what could happen if I don’t finish in time. Please be quiet.”

  14. they went out in the Chevy Pickup and we kept having to exchange them when we wanted to have the windshielwipers work. we couldn’t have the stereo and windshield wipers on at the same time. It really kind of sucked.

  15. “They’ve got some really short fuses, don’t they?” asked Kyla.

She was referring to the temperamental twin boys sulking in the corner, both of their crowns curling in syrupy cowlicks above their pale faces. Almost as if they were trying to be soft-serve ice cream cones. I stifled a giggle at the mental picture.

“Yeah,” I replied once I had composed myself. “I’ll figure something out with them. Promise.”

  16. black and purple. font seems like new times roman or something. one word, one love. something to think about. blah blah blah…. i cant think of anything cause my brain isnt functioning well…… oh well, im in a coffee shop trying to figure out what to write about this “one word” meaning and i have come up with none.

  17. I have to look away, but hearing it is bad enough. There’s a pained shriek—long and drawn out and made utterly unearthly as it echoes between the close-set walls. My stomach turns when I hear the sizzling noise and smell the stench of burning skin and hair.
All I can do is curl up in my hiding spot and squeeze my eyes shut, trying not to breathe in the smell as I think over and over again, This is not happening, This is not happening, This is not happening….

Yet I cannot block out the horrible sound she makes as the metal graft finally fuses to her skin.

  18. i have already written about fuses but it is something that i will do again. this time i will write about the patience-running-out facet of the word. fuses grow exponentially. the less you let yours ignite, the more you learn, and therefore the less likely ou are to let it ignite in the future

  19. Images, images, flashing through my head. And the fuses– oh! I can’t remember. Which color goes to what? I don’t know, oh, I don’t know. I can hear the crashes and banging coming closer– louder now– and the lights blazing on and off. I start to sweat and my hands shake a bit as I try to clear out the images in my head, and try to focus on just one. What was it? Ah– there we go! And I cut them and the lights burn off and suddenly I feel so relaxed.

  20. I enjoy to learn about cars, bikes, etc. Really anything with a motor. And this also reminds me, I have a short fuse in reference to my short temper. It seems a lot of others do as well, especially with a little liquid courage.

  21. Some people have short fuses. This can mean that they get mad easily. This can also mean that they lose interest quickly. I think out society makes people have short fuses, because everything happens so fast.

  22. i don’t do good in school. i actually don’t know what it means. i sounds like two wires you put together to make the product work. idk. i’m only smart in math. :)

  23. he lit the fuse and the bomb exploded taking the life of those around him. those around him. even then, while he was ending their lives, he was still jealous of them. why was it always “those around him” who got to experience the true “action of life”. even when he put endless hours into planning his bombing, it was them who got to reap the true fruits. all his life it had been this way.

  25. They snapped and flared, the bundle was on fire and dangerously so. The young woman grimaced as it came near to her face. The air crackled in anticipation and foreboding. Was this how it was going to end?

  26. fuses. one second they’re there, flowing, soft currents, electric and pulsing. And then, the next, they’re gone. Just like that. The part thats the worst, is that when they’re out, you replace them, yet when a fuse of emotion snaps in our heads, it takes a lot more than a flick out and back in of a cylinder. Its a whole lot more complicated.

  27. THINGS THAT make other things light up, and things that make them go out. Making it fit nicely with something and creating something warm and energetic and brilliant.

    by Louis on 07.23.2012
  28. Fuses are the bringers of energy. Through fuses we can harness electricity. Fuses are power, but only through those things that are man-made.

    by Jaclyn on 07.23.2012
  29. I think that fuses are a spectacular invention, regardless how annoying they might be when they go out. Rather than having a bunch of dead bodies and dead people and burned houses and such, you just have water heaters that mysteriously stop working during midnight showers, pancakes that suddenly stop frying, etc. etc.

I don’t know who invented fuses, but I suppose that person is probably dead by now… It would be rather humorous if he he died of a fire.

  30. A fuse comes from a fuse box. A fuse box is the mother of fuses and the fuses don’t always respect their box. Little do the fuses know, that the box raised them, and birthed them, and one day the fuses may realize what that box did for them, but it will be too late.

  31. Everyone has fuses. Whether they be short or long, we all have them. It’s how we ignite those fuses that sets us apart.

  33. The fuses in my brain short out. Everything goes black. I vaguely remember the silver… the bang… the pain. Who did it, I don’t remember. How I got there is still a mystery. Death isn’t so bad… Someone else just turns off the light.

    by AmyAmy on 07.23.2012
  34. Things that fuses me are just oblivious things. Like life, people, slow internet, and even myself. I don’t deserve to be here. I’m just everybody’s fuse. and I know it but nobody wants to admit it…

    by Alexa on 07.23.2012
  35. Fuses in the house. The fuse breaker sits upstairs, collecting dust, waiting to be opened and have its switches flipped. I don’t really know what a fuse is, fuses.

    by Sarah on 07.23.2012
  36. Fuses are the little porcelain, Pandora’s boxes of frustration that added a sense of fun to each of our Christmases before fairy lights were sold cheaply and we didn’t need to check the “fuse bulb” all night long. Pity though. It was an adventure after all.

  38. Feudalism. Trite compromises. Binded by the fuses of a patriarch idol who demands demons.

  39. Stiles grabs the fuses from the box and runs, lungs aching with each step. He has to stop them. Stop the Argents from setting fire to Derek’s house again, to finish what they had started years ago. He hears a pair of footsteps racing behind him, shouting at the others to follow, to track Stiles down, to kill him.
Stiles hears a ripping growl from the Hale house and then his feet go out from under him.
    The fuses fall.
    He hears gunfire.

  40. fuses. they light. there’s electricity between them. I am a fuse, sometimes it’s short, sometimes it’s longer. I would like to work on that…..yes i would. I dont really know what else to write about fuses so blah blah blah blah why is fuses even a word. Fuuuuuuseessssssss
