  1. He took the scarf from her cold wrist and tied it around his neck. The fringe was knotted together and trapped bits of dirt and crumb and sweat, but he inflated his ribs with a surprising pride, and withdrew her body from the placid grass. “It’s time to go home.” he whispered, more into her collar bone than her ear. The night was dead silent, and as her drove them away from the moments of past, he just barely heard her retort, “I’m gonna want that back.”

  2. Sometimes I think fashion is just another mask our society has created. Sure, people say fashion is a way of expressing yourself, but really its just another facade. If you truly want to know somebody, speak to them. Dont think about them based on appearance.

    by Lindsay on 04.03.2010
  3. Fashion and weave, you know the way, that thread so spun, tightly, now embraced and I’m so glad you’re able to know, to work it well, here we are, we know the ways, woven and worked, we are now entwined and the is no unraveling reproach.

    by e.dawn on 04.03.2010
  4. i hate people that try to think they’re fashionable just because they go along with the trends.
    YOURE TRENDY.
there’s a difference. get your own style and buy things YOU LIKE, not just what magazines tell you to like.

and anyway, some “fashion” just isn’t for everyone. they pick those girls because they look good in it. you might not. go try stuff on first.

    by Emily on 04.03.2010
  5. it was the latest fashion, the fad that stuck in place, like a phase she went through, one you could pick apart in her closet. Every day she walked through the halls, it was a magazine, another person’s idea of right and wrong, in and out; and when it was out it wasn’t out, it was farther back in the recesses of her room.

    by Meg on 04.03.2010
  6. I am not a fashionista. Some days I am barely an acceptalista. As in, somedays I pay so little attention to what I wear, some might consider my choices unacceptable. I don’t particularly care if the fit is right, or the style is current. I just want to be comfortable.

    by Kathy on 04.03.2010
  7. Fashion is a different topic from what i normally write about. It really defines who we are as a person in the eyes of others. The color contrast, shapes and sizes shows the world a lot about out inner personality. Although somtimes the world is wrong, like they are about me.

    by Gerrit Veltman on 04.03.2010
  8. fashion has ruined my life, having a mother as a designer meant losing her to travel throughout my childhood. though it has not been one of my favorite parts of the world, fashion allows for art to be displayed on a daily basis on people as unique as their clothes.

    by jess on 04.03.2010
  9. Fashion to me, is a way of expressing your innerself.
Who you are, who you’re comfortable being.

But its also a way, of fitting into a certain mold,
a certain group, or character of to which you “think” you belong.

Are you brave enough to be the true you?

    by Ellie on 04.03.2010
  10. I fashion a little circle
twined by all the love I hold
    All the dreams I live
All the happiness and good times shared
and place it on my daughter’s neck

    by Ellie on 04.03.2010
  11. David Bowie has a song called “Fashion,” I believe. I don’t actually like it much, compared to his other songs, which I mostly love. I wish I was writing something more profound. I have a friend who’s obsessed with fashion. It gets really annoying. She’s also the most conceited person I know. Then again, it’s sort of in style to be conceited. I’m conceited. And yet, I sort of hate myself. This even confuses me.

    by Augustine May on 04.03.2010
  12. I’ve never really followed the teenage idea of fashion. I’ll never be happier than when I’m in a pair of sweats, and I’ll never be sexier than when I’m in a tank and shorts, and someday I’ll meet a man that agrees with me.

    by Colee on 04.03.2010
  13. Fashion? eh, I’m not good at fashion, it’s just shit anyway. And I’m not good at not thinking, nor just writing. Whenever I do, it just ends up completely incoherent. It’s strange. The other day, I was sitting on my computer, and I went “huh, never done that before”, and then I went to the bathroom. There’s absolutely no sense in my mind, and the sun looks like a big red blob.

    by Magnus Haugli on 04.03.2010
  14. fashion has been remodeled into millions of different styles through out the years. and i honestly can’t say that i care. fashion is nonsense. fashion is humorous.

fashion is nothing. some people make it their life and spend every penny on something new. i choose to spend my money on things that matter. food perhaps.

fashion makes me laugh. i love to hate it.

    by Sarah on 04.03.2010
  15. Fashion is shit and pointless.

    by Craig Tull on 04.03.2010
  16. Clothes could be seen flung around the room in a disorderly manner. Shirts over a chair, skirts littering the bed. This was going to be her first date. She wanted to wear something trendy, within the newest fashion, especially since this boy was a model. She really wanted to impress him.

    by crazy on 04.03.2010
  17. What is fashion? Who says what is right and wrong about fashion? It is just a revolving trend. What was in style 30 years ago went out of style but is suddenly back in style. So why do we keep going through the same motions again and again? It is pretty pointless. I believe true fashion is in those who make a statement. Who are not afraid to go against the trends and wear something crazy that actually turns out looking really good. Why not be courageous? I mean, if fashion were to dictate your whole life, we’d all just be mindless conforming zombies.

    by Cade Thomasson on 04.03.2010
  18. Most women are very concerned with fashion and what is fashoinable to wear. Some designers have their fashions displayed now in less expensive stores, such as Kohl’s and K-Mart. This give the average woman an opportunity to enjoy designer wear without breaking the budget. Unfortunately, I think too much emphasis is placed on fashion and not enough on the style of clothing that flatters a particular build.

    by Audrey Dressel on 04.03.2010
  19. I was never one to wear pretty things. I was more comfortable in jeans and a tee shirt. I love shoes, but I don’t know what to wear them with. Fashion = my enemy.

    by camille on 04.03.2010
  20. fashion is what fashion does. it does nothing for me.

    by Layla Macoran on 04.03.2010
  21. Stacy loved the fashion industry. She loved to design clothes. Her problem was her fear of fabric. Strange phobia for someone with dreams of landing a job in fashion to have. But, there it is.

    by vladdytrout on 04.03.2010
  22. Fashion: It means something to new teens and another to middle-aged parents. Fashion is a problem at most schools, but not with adults. The difference is, kids care about fashion. Adults? Not so much. It’s not a bad thing. It can be good. It doesn’t have to be with clothes. But not always. Good thing I type fast!!!!

    by Rebecca M on 04.03.2010
  23. Skinny bitches with protruding hip bones and ironic, despairingly beautiful tattoos that are draping societies idealic pages lately. It’s the fucking pbr drinking, triangular coated girls that act like they’re so damn original and so fucking creative. Those are the girls that are ‘in vogue’ today, sheep following the fucking crowd. Hiding behind their old-woman clothing and their fucking slogans, their inside jokes. I’m drowning in skinny faux-creative bitches trying to be the epitome of ‘cute’ and ‘cool’.
    I’m drowning in hipsters.

  24. Fashion changes throughout the years. It can be very ugly once we reflect on it but sometimes trends come back into style so that fashion remains constant. I mean there really isn’t much you cna’t do when it comes to fashion. It can be used to reflect someones personality or just to have fun and dress up sometimes. Fashion is even a business and makes lots of money for people who are associated with it.

  25. The catwalks, the run wouldn’t it be a tragedy and some fun…? too bad you have to be tall just a pretty face won’t cut it…be elegent be a model

    by LunarStar77 on 04.03.2010
  26. I started joining the fashion industry when I was 15. I was too tall, too skinny and too weird looking. I was a model for Calvin Klein and got anorexia because they wanted me to be super skinny. Fuck fashion.

    by Cherie on 04.03.2010
  27. I love fashion it inspires me and always makes me feel good. I hope to work more closely with it especially as photographer wanting to shoot fashion

  28. Nothing surprising there. Other dictate it,that

  29. The chocolate on Mark’s face was not a fashion statement.

“What if Lucy sees you?” I teased.

“Lucy doesn’t care about how I look, only about who I am.”

    I felt stupid.

    by Copland on 04.03.2010
  30. you have a bizarre sense of fashion. you make your own clothes, knitting together fingernails and the crooked grins of girls you lulled into loving you.

each shirt you pull over your head is a bold statement in red, pink, and white – you devour each hand that presses itself into yours.

    by R on 04.03.2010
  31. High heels. Stilettos. Boots. Leggings. A dress.

Fashion is always changing, always evolving, and always fascinating. Who starts the crazy trends of the decade? Why do we follow them even if it looks ridiculous?

    by Lily on 04.03.2010
  32. I’m wasting time like it’s going out of fashion. The latest new trend will come into play and then I’ll just be doing that aaaaaalllllllll day.

    by wasted on 04.03.2010
  33. There’s something to be said about fashion. I’ve always been told that it doesn’t matter how I look, but I know thats a big fat LIE. How you look and what’s fashionable has a big impact on how you succeed in this world. You can’t get a certain job if you don’t look right. And the fashion industry? Well why the hell didn’t I think of that?

    by Gwen on 04.03.2010
  34. Fashion is more than clothes, it is how you present yourseef. It is walking, talking. The clothes are the least of it, present yourself with grace and you will do well, in fashion, at least.

    by Katy Lynch on 04.03.2010
  35. To her fashion was more than putting on clothes, more than making sure your shirt matched your skirt matched your shoes. It was more than a obsession; a neurotic impulse to blow money. It was a language, an art form. One in which she could connect to other people all over the world. Which meant more than simply buying something for the selfish reason of ‘i liked it’.

    by Breanna on 04.03.2010
  36. fashion put it all on me if you wanna see these clothes on me fashion put it all on me i am anyone you want me to be.

    by Kyle on 04.03.2010
  37. so fashion is pretty much my life and my only way of living. i think about it daily and i love the fashion industry. i haven’t exactly been able to show my fashion senses through myself, because i’m insecure with my body and i feel like it ruins whatever i am wearing. maybe if i could lose 40 pounds.. that reminds me, i need to work out. i need to fulfill my goals of weight loss so then i can finally become that WHOA LOOK AT HER AMAZING CLOTHES :) girl that everyone looks at.

    by lfananan on 04.03.2010
  38. “fashion. Sonofabitch. All she talks about, aint it? It just aint good enough, is it? always something new, or something she aint got. Damnit i dont care about any of this.”
    “calm down mal. your drunk.”

    by David Brandon on 04.03.2010
  39. trivial. consumerist. wasted energy spent feeling insecurity spent years getting over spent money on spending time wasted on consumerist trivial crap.

    by Kendra on 04.03.2010
  40. I’ve never been one for fashion. The glamorous ostentation of thin bodies modeling mediocre fabrics.

But the way that yellow silk dress fell over her pale shoulders and the glimmer of daffodils in her hair made me smile. Made something akin to love flicker in my heart and I realized instantly the merit of fashion.
