Ego is usally accociated with conciete, but a strong ego represents confidence, which is empowering. An ego that is based on confidence will enable one to branch out to learn new things, take risks and grow.
That boy’s ego could be a national monument, and the way he saw it, we should worship the ground it stood on. Nothing more annoying than a man who doesn’t have any space for you because he is self obsessed.
In the back of my mind, i feel bad for acting like a bitch and making myself out to be selfish. my ego is much larger than most people think, i hide my heart and thoughts away, i’ll keep on going covering up, for another day. self-importance in me is really much smaller than i make it out to be, because i like people to think i’m on top of the world; because on top of the world they can’t hurt me. Then i’ve somehow realised, through older greyer eyes, that it’s all down to how naked i feel; so i try to cover it up and destroy all doubt, with my longwinded prose and imitation passion, my heart-of-gold demeanour. just lately i’ve come to realize i’m not such a mystery, even to myself.
it fills the room, and I honestly don’t have space for it any more. If you wer half as great as you thought you were, you would be twice as funny as you are.

All she wanted was to be safe from the harmful words of her peers. All she wanted was comfort, protection, love. What she received was pain. So much pain. Because that’s all humans know what to do. Not what he got, no. In fact, what he got was much harsher. The girl was beautiful no doubt, but she returned his boyish grin with a glare of intense, coal rimmed eyes. Needless to say, his ego got the worst stab from her glare, and was bruised the rest of the day. He’d never felt this before… Maybe she was different.

In order to stand in front of a bunch of adult students, I have to feel confident in my presence; that doesn’t stop me from second-guessing all of my decisions and qualities.
