  1. My new edition is going to be to be gay and happy and love life more then the posibility of disappointment or hopelessness. I chose to be me and love myself and fight for her with all of me. I am me and he is in me and all around me who am i to be afraid.

  2. Edition was the girl I first fell in love with in third grade. Third grade you may ask, yes I was young, but the way her long blonde curls fell on the desk in front of me in perfect coils was something quite hard to resist.

    by Julia Judy on 01.15.2011
  3. The comic was the only edition of its kind in mid condition. It was priceless to me yet it was worth the big bucks to my father. Boy did he love money and he wanted my precious comic to feed his greed. But I wouldn’t let him. Never would I let him take away what I considered precious.

  4. A new edition? What is it like? Longer or shorter? Bigger or smaller? Will people like it better? Will it be worth the change? A new edition, you say…tell me more about this.

    by Rebeckah on 01.15.2011
  5. Tormented by my next body of work, everyday I feel drive and ambition slipping from me. That can be regained: coffee, exercise, sexual ignition, but what scares me the most is the calm of the void underneath. A thousand or more things in this world, and I have nothing to say, no creativity. I can’t admit that I’m not an artist; if I were to I would have nothing, I would be no one.

  6. Excellent, here we go, ready to start – A Complete History of the 1930s, Fifth Edition. My eyes are scanning across the page… and across the desk, and out through the window. Down on to the empty streets where lamps softly push back the night. Damn it, okay, here we go…

  7. well, i got to write an edition for the magazine this session. not a easy job, but trying 2 as much as i can on historical conservation of my state.

  8. Limited. Like a newspaper. The first. The best, like the only one of that kind. Unique. Special, with a poster or picture. Newpaper, really. 25th anniversary edition… Scrabble, because I had to think about how to spell “Anniversary” and I’m pretty sure that word would be impossible in scrabble because you only get seven tiles and you almost never get the same letter twice- like “n”. It would be a good use for the letter “v”, though. Of course, getting back to the word edition- hey, you could probably spell that in scrabble! Especially if someone already put down a word with the letter “i” in it.

  9. this edition of my life has been particularly confusing. I suppose it’s no more complex than any other, but the thousand voices of society seem to only be gaining strength and multiplying as culture allegedly progresses, and I can’t say I’m all that excited about where their conflicting ideas, (many of which are bought and sold), will ultimately lead us..

  11. This is an edition. An edition can be the first, the last, the fourth, or the seventy-sixth; but this edition is the first. What is this an edition of? Well, I don’t know. You could fill this box with any words, any words at all and it would be considered the first edition.

    by Kimmy on 01.15.2011
  12. A first edition is really valuable, the rest that follow not so much, why it that? I know they’re rare and all but why do they matter so much? Are the words more powerful somehow because they are newer?

    by Anonymous on 01.15.2011

  14. There were two editions of the book in existence: mine and one other in an undisclosed location. I often wondered about the other edition. Was it in good condition? Was it lying, unused and unloved in a basement somewhere?

    by Laura on 01.15.2011
  15. Some say that print newspaper will become obsolete within the next few decades. But think, until a machine is small and cuddly enough to be held in bed, over one’s head with comfort and ease, newsprint will not be obsolete, but instead will be forever.

    by Mike Reluzco on 01.15.2011
  16. Well, an edition is a release of something. It could be a new edition or a book, or old edition for that matter. It could be a movie, novel, text book, or even a toy. It could be an edition of a Star Wars figurine. It’s basically a way of keeping track of the iterations of any product. New vs old.

    by Ahmad on 01.15.2011

  18. Fuck. I can’t believe that I just wrote any of that. That last one, Jesus. I can’t even see myself in that writing. Throw it away. THROW IT AWAY! Dammit, start over. New title. New topic. Anything but the old. Write it again. New everything. Start it all over again.

    by Amy on 01.15.2011
  19. The new edition was due but he hadn’t had the time to put into it…and so he was sure it was going to be a complete failure. He could tell from her eyes when she picked up the draft that this would be the case. The new edition was for shit and there was nothing at all that he could do about. Due.

  20. the special edition of lotr. that’s something i’d like to own. i don’t know when it was/will be released or what it would consist of…but i want it. i am trying to reconnect with that obsession. it was a happy time in my life and i think i want to go back there..or at least figure out what it was that i had then i don’t have now.

  22. edition to me is something new that is continued like an edition to a book or an edition to one’s life such as a new boyfriend or spouse, pet, etc.. that makes things and life seem to continue on with changes and aspects that make everything with an interesting twist everyday. the editions to my life have gradually became better and better as i learn new things and increase my widsom of the world slowly but it continues to bigger and better things.. im glad im alive with the new chance to add editions to my life to help me change for the better.

  23. It wasn’t the best edition, or the first. But it was an edition. Some people liked the latest edition best, but I was content. My edition got the job done, it accomplished its intended purpose and did so with impunity, without fail.

    by Joe Oaks on 01.15.2011
  24. It made me upset to think it was a copy. Second edition. Reprinted because those rare, scant first were eaten by metropolitan consumers. And here my second edition lays waiting for my eyes to scrape over the dulled text and engulf me into a tale which has been read before, My experience is ingenuine; I’m nothing more than a copycat,

  25. I do not fully comprehend the concept that has been placed before me. Being as I found this at stumble upon, I am doing as the site suggests and not thinking but rather writing my seemingly uninteresting thoughts for all to see.

  26. adding a new edition to the house. john will love it.

  27. The most recent edition of the Almanac came out yesterday. In it could be found the standard fare: the positions of the planets on various days of the year, the appropriate sacrifices to be made to the various Gods of the harvest. The apocrypha, too, was fairly standard, useful only to the few, but fascinating to those of us who enjoy old fashioned things: the uses of diesel fuel, the aerodynamics of jet fighters, and so forth.

  28. It had tattered pages; faded from old age and sunlight. The words were hard to read and I wished I could feel the texture of the book, but the librarian said I HAD to wear gloves. Because in my hands…I was holding the very first edition of the Spider-Man comic books.

  29. “Editorial staff, gather ’round!”
    “Oh, yey!”
“Shut up, Jenny. Damn it, that means we have to work…”
“Fabio, it’s not like you do anything useful anyway.”

And it was always so interesting, so fun. The arguing and play-fights, the joking, the debating, coming to a consensus on our position, investigating, interviewing, writing, editing…about Russel Pearce, “anti-Western classes” and gun laws, presidential candidates, the Pledge of Allegiance, the science fair, the new school policies, the district budget…all in preparation for a new edition of the school newspaper.

    Christina, this one’s for you:
    The marching band;

  30. you are the only version of you there can be. there is no do over, no second edition. you are what the story is–when you are done, that is it. so doesn’t it make sense to use our time to become the best edition of ourselves and our story we possibly can be?

  31. edition. one after the next. improvements are made. words are adjusted. is it a deviation from the norm? can it still be recognized after so many alterations? after so many transformations? is it still recognizable from the entity it once was? or has it completely changed.

    by jacob on 01.15.2011
  32. 1000 copies of this book was printed. What does that mean about it? Would it have been more worthwhile if there were less of them? Older books are more coveted when you find their first edition. Although sometimes the later editions have more beautiful covers. New edition- please don’t leave me girl, great song.

  33. He stared silently at the new edition of his favorite magazine, but for some reason he could not pay attention to the article about polar bears and the impeding doom of the melting ice caps. This was because the airport scared him, and that was exactly where he was, tapping his foot incessantly.

  34. The newest edition of the book lay open in Sara’s living room. Amy squealed and ran to see it.
“I can’t believe you have this! It just came out, like, last night!

  35. First edition, second edition, limited edition.

An edition is an incarnation of something.

Edition sounds like addition, but they aren’t the same thing.

  36. There is an edition of my life going on that I can’t explain. I’m not sure how to deal with it, but it comes with a great deal of pain. I think I deal by drinking, and smoking blunts and hanging out with friends. But mostly I deal by creating. Writing, making music, and drawing.

    by Garen on 01.15.2011
  37. this is the first edition ever. I hope you like it. I won’t but what does that matter. This edition will have errors. get over it. This is the first edition. besides nothing is ever perfect. 38. It started as an original; it always does. Ideas morph into a worm hole, reinventing themselves over and over. The poet is said to do this, weave the same image until the perfect idea blossoms. Into itself it goes. Into itself it breathes.

  39. saturday evening post snowy nights norman rokwell and family dogs, children, thin people the depression big fireplaces with laughing families gathered around, community, home, family joy, fellowship a simpler time starry nights all is well in the world. Joy

  40. Edition can be a volume of a newspaper, or book. It is the “latest edition”, which sounds like “latest addition” – they have kind of the same meaning.
