  1. Deliberately aloof – well, you could be, Because you don;t care anymore or perhaps you’ve given up. One can deliberate over deliberation but perhaps that’s just as unexciting. You never know. Things may get better, you just have to keep going.

  6. Deliberate. It’s a word that can pack a real punch. Or it’s a word that can make you sit there and think. Literally. Deliberate can mean that you meant what you did. As in; That action was deliberate. Or it can mean that you’re thinking about something.

  11. Sometimes I stand at the edge of the road and I try to decide when the cars go speeding by – should I jump out in front of that bus? But what happens if I do? What if I’m paralyzed? I deliberate, at 100 words a second, and by the time I decide, the bus has passed and it’s too late.

  17. i like to deliberate over things in my own mind. i don’t really like to deliberate with others. i often get into arguments in my head and can’t often resolve them. i have problems making decisions on anything. like even what to have for dinner. i can never make up my mind. i have to sit there and deliberate over what my choices are, what i had recently and what i might feel like.

    Let us deliberate on the nature of deliberation. It’s not to DE-liberate, but to DELIBERate, as in to ate delibers. Not to remove freedom and liberty.

  30. I remember once when I was deliberating with a friend on a topic of minor importance. The deliberation began very calmly, then things started to escalate, as neither one of us wanted to admit the other’s wrongdoing in the situation. Before you knew it, the basic deliberation turned into a heated debate. Hands were flying, attitudes were given and no one could concentrate solely on the actual topic at hand. And, finally, that turned into an all out fistfight.

  34. I see the word and it of course causes me to stop and think about it. The pluses, the minuses. If there were another word that could have this kind of effect on me–at this time–I can’t think of it. I’d rather not deliberate uponn anything.
