  1. Once I was walking with a boy whom I thought I would be with forever, and I looked down and saw a daisy, pretty, and flawless and perfect. And at just that moment the boy ran up and stepped on it. I don’t think ive been the same since, you live, you learn. I guess!

  2. I found a daisy the other day. It was small and yellow with dark green leaves. I thought of how I used to run across the flower bed of daisiesthat my mother had planted when I was small. She never moaned or berated me for doing so. I often wonder if I would do the same for my children

  4. because pushing them up isn’t the only problem. it’s how you live with what you’ve done. how you force yourself not to reach out a finger to brush an eyelash off a cheek; how you force yourself to look away when she touches another person — even accidentally — because it’s just another painful rend to deal with.

pushing them up means pushing his own humanity down.

  5. pushing daisies has this really hot guy called NED and he looks soooooo hot when he hooks his thumbs into the belt loops of his perpetually sexy pair of black jeans and i think that the show is so romantic because they can’t touch and yes im allergic to flowers so i sneeze especially around daisies.

  6. “Daisy!” The 2 year old shrieked with delight and pointed it out to her father, pulling his hand and tugging him forward. I followed behind watching from a distance the joy and pure happiness they both felt because of that one little bit of life popping out between the rocks in the desert.

  7. flower petals are white with yellow insides
they remind me of your face
    fair pale, smooth, simple.
daisies in the distant with birdsong playing

  9. daisy daisy, give me your answer do. I sang it to her as she got changed, I sang it to her as she headed out the door to work, I sang it when she came back from work in the evening, and throughout the evening. I sang it with a smile in my heart and on my face, and I meant every word of it.

Eventually, she turned round and said ‘you remember that concussion? Daisy was your last girlfriend, not me’ and left me.

  14. Daisies are my favorite flower because they can grow at any time, in any place. I know they’re just pretty weeds, but they are so cheerful and encouraging, I can’t help but smile when I see them.

  15. White petals, yellow body. Makes me think of sunshine & joy & summer. It also makes me think of sneezing & eating grass (the non-tripped out kind) and being generally fond of farms & life. It makes me think of the goodness of God. Even the word daisy is a happy word. funny how that works eh? It’s also a great song. ^_^

  16. small yellow centred summery fun though it may be a pain as its tend to cause me allergic rhinitis. Looks nice as a cartoon drawing – in fact maybe God created it in His infancy cos it loks like a kid’s drawing of a flower. A nice name as well, probably not so much for boys though. Maybe a fella could pull it off, hmm, Driving Mr Daisy..maybe not.

  20. Daisy’s are my absolute favorite type of flower, besides black eyed suzans, but I like those because they’re not really sunflowers they’re like yellow daisy’s and they’re beautiful. Daisys’ make me feel like I’m a little girl again, I used to pick them for my mom on mothers day and put them in my hair. They’re my one connection to childhood.

  22. i saw a daisy once. Walking home one day, I caught a glimpse of it, on the side of the road, lonesome. I bent down and touched it, afraid to disturb it too much, it looked so pristine. After a while, i sat next to it, and i waited there, not knowing what for, but i felt like it had been waiting there for a long time as well.

  23. What in a daisy, a daisy a day to waste way those worries. So bright, albeit not true. As artificial as a cheap candy bar if you dont smell it. Daisy, rolling in the wind, fluttering with every breathe, my breathe… Between all of the blades of grass, barely there at all.

  25. Daisy was a girl who once used to live out in the country. She had long blond hair and hazel/gray eyes. When she was young she had a dragonfly necklace that her aunt had given her. Once she got older she lost it, and with that, she lost her innocence. She’s currently trying to find herself, along with someone else.

  26. daisies
    stretching on for miles.
    all i see is daisies.
    in every direction.
    emcompassing.
    surrounding.
    suffocating.
    the sweet smell intoxicates.
    the sound of stems swishing.
    the touch of the wind.

  33. Mmm.

Reading the word made me smile and think of happy things.

I know that a year ago a word like “daisy” would’ve made me feel nauseous and bitter.

This is what being in love does to you.

  35. daisies grow in abundance in meadows. i always thought daisy was a cute name for little girls and old ladies, but not as good for everyone in between. so what should you do if you’re middle-aged and your name is daisy? either accept it or call yourself “dee” or something modern and cool like that. and then when you’re senile and don’t give a shit, go

  36. It requires sun to move on. The water makes it stronger. One time I picked a daisy and I fed it to the younger kid on my street because he was a fucktard, and everyone knows that fucktards eat flowers. You have to prepare yourself for trouble when he tells his mother.
