  1. I have had curly hair in a lifetime that isn’t quite my own. “What on earth was I thinking?” I said to myself after having gotten the perm. It was so unsatisfying, but there was nothing I could do. I sat as 2 tears trembled down from my cheaks.

    by kate on 04.12.2010
  2. When I think of curls, I think of baby locks. I think of the sweetness and innocence of youth, and how so many of us lose those locks as we age, both physically and figuratively. Many chase the curls with perms, but it’s never as authentic as the real thing.

    by cjs on 04.12.2010
  3. Alex was my first girlfriend. She had curly red hair, and I thought she was beautiful. She was fun, exciting, and her hair was a perfect reflection of her personality. We don’t talk anymore, Alex and I, but sometimes I see someone with those CURLS, and the memories come back again

    by Ed on 04.12.2010
  4. My hair is curly, and I love it. It looks cool, is easy to deal with, and girls like to play with it. Curly hair is great. Girls with super curly pubic hair are not so great. Too much hair down there is not a good thing, girls. Do something about it, for your sake and for mine.

    by Gayle Hoyt on 04.12.2010
  5. cyle’s hair has curls. curls remind me of rebecca when we were younger, before she got her perm. which i think is strange. my mom always tries to make her hair look curly with that mousse shit, but it just ends up looking greasy and feeling crispy.

    by emma on 04.12.2010
  6. Tangled nest of hair,
    soft golden locks.
    Angel so fair,
    I am jealous
    with my straight, brown hair.

    by Caitlin on 04.12.2010
  7. her curls were beautiful. she was a little girl walking down the road, her hair bouncing up and down up and down. she was dragging a doll, and wearing a blue dress. she was my baby. i could remember her father, see him in her face, in her movements. i missed him.

    by Molly on 04.12.2010
  8. The gentle curls of his golden locks drew in my eyes. I followed the swirls around his scalp endlessly. I wanted to run my fingers through those curls- passionately. What a shame we had begun this sham of false loathing. At least I hoped it was false.

    by Gwen on 04.12.2010
  9. well, they bounce. they bounce, even when the person who has them doesn’t exactly have a bouncy personality.
even when the person who has them decides to bang her best friend who also happens to be your ex boyfriend.
even when you, you with straight hair, you were downcast and explaining how much you missed him to her.
    yeah, she has curls.
    she straightens them though.
    maybe that says something.

    by Jaime on 04.12.2010
  10. time curls away from me, burning just quick enough

    by kierrin on 04.12.2010
  11. Curls are what I do at the gym to get real buff. You know, get my swole on. Swell-Swole get it? It is also what happens to people’s hair. I sometimes wish I had curly hair. I learned about cleaning hair without shampoo today.

    by Mark on 04.12.2010
  12. Curls everyone wants them until they can’t get rid of them and then they try to, but to no avail. “women pay lot of money for those.” Women are so jealous of your beautiful cursl.” They are great until you just can;t do anything witht hem, untilfrizz up at the slightest hint of water, until you just get so tired of the constant tangles that jsut never go away. Don’t tell a girl that her curls are what everyone wants, because it is not true until you have had them naturally for most of your life…

    by Karen on 04.12.2010
  13. Her hair bounced as she walked. Gently though, despite the purposeful steps. Her lips curled as the cold wind hit her, whipping her hair about her. This was it, this was the moment and there was no going back. For what else could she do? It was time for them to be unleashed.

    by lisa on 04.12.2010
  14. i have curly hair, they flow nice and it doesnt matter which way they go because they always shine. they need to be bouncy in order to shine so it hits the light better, i like curly hair better then straight, all the straight lines in the world arent as good as one curly one, and even if i did have one straight hair it wouldn’t matter.

    by alexis on 04.12.2010
  15. her hair was filled with curls. Thousands of them, it seemed. And they rolled down her back the way waves rolled up onto the beach, and then off again, bringing with it the footprints of children as they an away. Just like those waves, her curls washed away the terrible memories that I had harbored, in secret, for so long.

    by Michael O'Rourke on 04.12.2010
  16. his hair looks like black burnt curls of french fries. i miss them so much.

    by brittany on 04.12.2010
  17. i have curls, sometime I don’t though because sometimes I straighten my hair. Y’no with a curling iron, it’s like it just goes over your hair and magically makes it comeletely without demention and just boring because it’s straight. I like having straight hair sometimes though.

    by Sadee on 04.12.2010
  18. After writing for extended periods of time (with a wooden Ticurandalala pencil) and shaving off the excess, a smattering of wooden curls rested on his desk.

They were a light tawny colour, like clippings of his lover’s hair.

    by Jessalin on 04.12.2010
  19. Her curls drifted down her back like a waterfall of vivid scarlet blood. He thought he might actually faint from pure overwhelming desire. Every inch of him ached for her, head to toe. She was perfection.

    by Ashley Connell on 04.12.2010
  20. Curls. Curls of hair trickle down across my thighs as she rests her head in my lap. They are golden. She turns to look at me with those eyes, those strange eyes that held something behind them. Secrets. Deception. Betrayal. Last breaths.

    by Chameleon on 04.12.2010
  21. Red hair curls around her pale face. She’s wearing a black dress.

    by kelsey on 04.12.2010
  22. The curls in my hair bounce playfully in the wind. My golden locks tease and flirt with the promiscuous breeze. The sea air taunting my skin and the sun lovingly caressing it.

    by Becca on 04.12.2010
  23. I don’t particularly like the way that curls look on a human being. Sometimes it makes them just way less attractive when compared to someone who does not have them. I like blonde hair sometimes but not if it is very obvious or platinum. A more subdued, ashy or dirty blonde color is more enjoyed. Back on the subject, however, Curls are just kind of annoying if it’s super crazy. Sometimes, though, I like a gentle twist of the hair or waves, or like two main spirals.

    by Jade on 04.12.2010
  24. SO there you have it. I don’t care that you’re sorry, you just have to never do it again. You chopped off the baby’s curls in her sleep! There’s no excuse for that.

    by Copland on 04.12.2010
  25. Many girls like curls in their hair. Some girls do not favor curls though. It seems that if a girl has curly hair, she wants straight hair, and if a girl has straight hair, she’d just love some curly hair. I myself have straight hair. I’m not too big on curls in women.

    by Ryan Mace on 04.12.2010
  26. I wish that I had long curls in my hair, ones that bounced when I ran and laughed. My hair is so straight, and I feel like it’s boring. Curly hair matches my personality much better. They’re playful and sweet, like me. Goodness, that’d be great.

    by Jennakate on 04.12.2010
  27. She had curly hair, it was beautiful. Like a river sailing down her back. I couldn’t explain to to anyone I knew. I just loved it. Almost as much as I loved her. I knew I did. Even that soon. Maybe the minute I saw her, I couldn’t decide. I just did.

    by Amelia on 04.12.2010
  28. curls. curls in my hair. my hair is awfully straight. i wish it had a little bit of a curl to it. but it doesn’t. now and then i think of curling my hair, but i don’t. it’s too much work and i don’t think it would look that great to begin with.

curls makes me think of ugly betty, and how she burned down her house. i love ugly betty. i don’t think she’s ugly at all.

    by amber on 04.12.2010
  29. I’ve always envied my friend Analiz of her curls. They’re so bouncy and shiny and pretty. She says that it takes a long time to make them look all pretty.
    I’m tired of my hair.

I like the way that paper curls up when you burn it. I’m not a pyromaniac or anything it just looks really cool, you know?

    Curls are pretty

    by Natalie on 04.12.2010
  30. curls of paper are easily made, sliding it tensely across the scissors. It is soothing, and almost violent. like plotting. Is it what the paper always wanted to do all along? or was it forced against it’s will?

    by Brandi Martin on 04.12.2010
  31. Curls? What do I write about curls? Umm…curly things…
I have no idea. Curly hair is pretty cute sometimes. But I prefer straight. I really don’t know.

  33. The curls that lay on top of her head caught his eyes with such a fasination that he walked into someone. “Curls,” he thought. “Bouncy, lovely curls.”

    by Hayley on 04.12.2010
  34. I hate my hair. There’s nothing to be done with it. When I was little it was somehow always adorable and perfect — most likely my mother’s doing. But now… just frizz and out of control. Curly girls are supposed to be wild and fun and crazy, I’m not. I think I aught to have straight hair. It suits better. More contemplative, less partay WOO!

    by Kaitlyn Myers on 04.12.2010
  35. ramona quimby in the book had curls….my daughter has amazing curls…..I can’t wait until I’m old enough to wear curlers in public and be ok with it.

  36. yellow and red they fall from the birthday gifts that lay in piles around the young boy’s feet. So in the eyes of his family he sits and twirls the strands around his fingers, ignoring the presents inside to the behest of his mother who wishes him to smile and say thanks with a sloppy cookies-and-cream kiss.

  37. I have curly hair and that is actually how I got my sign name. It is a combination of a ‘J’ which is the first letter of my name and the ASL sign for ‘curly.’ I curl my pinky down along my hair and that means ‘Jessi.’

    by Jessi on 04.12.2010
  38. curls curls curls. we like curls in caaaars. haha, yeah, it sounds a lot like boys but not really. I never had really curly hair thank goodness. fuck straighening that shit out. billy has curls. and loves lady gaga.

    by julie on 04.12.2010
  39. I can’t write much about curls seeing as I don’t have them. Curls remind me of young, healthy, fresh looking young women. Grinning for a toothpaste/perfume/shampoo advert, with their hair bouncing all over the place. Alternatively, it also sort of reminds me of being excited. Jumping on the bed or something. Bouncy.

    by Amber :) on 04.12.2010
  40. hair waves, luscious, bouncy, healthy young women. Spanish hearthrob. Madonna- Like a virgin touched for the very first time. Chocolate curls on a cake. Toes curl. Flowers curl up.
