  24. I saw him on the corner, that day. Nothing happened, really. I just was walking, on my ordinary day. Walking and walking, to the beat of the boring that my life had so easily and secretly become. What happened? I could not answer, without apathy hitting first. Then, something happened out of schedule. I dropped my pen. My favorite pen. On the corner, near the bench. I don’t know what it is called, that street, because I am a foreigner to this place. Because, what can we do when we are lost in a place known to us? We go somewhere we are unknown to make our distance and ghost-like soul feel welcome. But all I know is that as I bent down, another soul-filled body bent down. Our heads almost touched, or rather, hit. At that point, I was shooken from my own world as I took hold of those blue eyes. They smiled at me. He was …friendly. We introduced ourselves to each other. He made me feel welcome. My soul had been hiding behind my heart, and with his company and conversation, it soon began to radiate it. I didn’t feel so lost any more.
