  8. A chrysalis is a little package of sleeping life. It looks still and dead but miraculous changes are happening underneath. sometimes when I look at my teenage son watching tv, I wonder what’s happening inside! Much like a chrysalis!

  9. They always used to say it was a cocoon. Then it became a chrysalis around 2nd grade, which became a hair studio, where I got my first dyke haircut. Regardless of the 60 dollar haircut, I still haven’t gotten laid since. Gay in the City Different is trickier than they let on.

  17. I just gave my friend Monika a book about monarch butterflies at lunch today so seeing “chrysalis” is very special and precious right now, the whole summer feels like a chrysalis full of little words with wings who are ready to fly into our rooms and befriend us or connect to other words.

  19. What is this word? What does it mean beyond… What is the origination of this word? I don’t want to write about butterflies. How about moths? Moths can be more interesting, perhaps. Perhaps. I don’t know. Moths seem to have more substance. Butterflies are light, airy, almost as if they aren’t to survive long.
